Farley's home again!

What a great vet I have!  He went to the clinic to feed Farley @ 1 am and later in the day took him for a couple of walks to check for progress.  All the blood tests showed many things he DOESN'T have - which is a good thing to know.  And by next weekend Farley should be finished his aquatherapy for his cruceate surgery rehab. 

I'm really hoping to stay away from all vets for a L O N G time!  Cross your fingers!

Farley and I were invited to my son's house 100 kms away for Mothers' Day where we overnighted.  The next day I drove my daughter-in-law and grandson 100kms to Toronto (in the opposite direction) to catch a flight to London & Paris. LUCKY DUCKS!!!!!!  So when we were passing through my town, I dropped off Farley and asked my Farley-loving neighbours to look after him.  Well that was Monday and shortly after, all hell broke loose with his digestive system.  He would keep food down for 12…

Farley and I just got back from his first physio session which went very well.  He stayed on the underwater treadmill for 7 mins and had a pretty normal gait in the water, considering he had surgery just 11 days ago.  It's a good thing I'm retired because this physio stuff is very time consuming!  Now we add 3 leg stands and sideways nudging to encourage weight bearing, and hill climbing and figure 8's in the driveway to build up the atrophied muscles.  Stay tuned ...
