I shave Luna's back and torso only with sheep shears (Oster Clipmaster) a few times a year.
She doesn't mind a bit and it only takes 3 or 4 minutes. The rest I have to comb occasionally but otherwise it is natural. The only trimming I have done on her head, neck, and legs has been to cut out mats that happened because I forgot to comb her for too long. She has so much hair that such cuttings are not visible.
