Hi Chris, thrilled to become your friend and share some doodle stories. I too have since read about the electronic doggie doors. I am going to check them all out when I get into the city. But in the mean time Gracie wants in and out, in and out. She is very high energy so we try to do lots of walks. And she loves or should I say demands attention, which for the most part I love to give her, but if I happen to be on the phone or busy doing something I can't stop and it is one of her "Hey what about me? I need your undivided attention!" times. She will be a little brat and do things she knows are wrong. They are so smart!!!! I checked out your new little Cruz. What a sweetie! You will busy with the puppy stage again Ok thanks talk to you again. Laura

Hey I'm reading some of your thingys down below, and my husband heard about a doggy door that is electronic, the dog has a little chip on his collar and when he gets near the door it opens
He doesn't trust the flap thing
thank you for talking, but I'm on afternoons this week and I must go to bed. little ones up early for school

The doors usually have a pretty heavy and thick vinyl door or two of them if it is in the wall. I would go for one in the wall. More work, but sturdier.

Chester is 65 pounds. The doggie door is a must. They are great. Put one in your wall or in a patio door. Don't have to be huge. The dogs can navigate through well.
