Awww, thank you! He is a sweetie! And so is your big, beautiful Grace!!! I'm sorry she's eating poop (all dogs do it at some point, I'm sure) but you will work it out. Your post reminded me that I better start kissing the dogs on the top of their snouts and not their noses!! LOL.
Haven't heard a word yet. If I don't hear anything by the end of the first week of July that means we are getting the dog in September.....first week of October at the very latest. It can't come soon enough. My daughter is leaving early for college on July 15th.
He is amazing! He is getting big - he's 13 1/2 weeks - and around 19 pounds! we took him to the groomer on saturday - cuz he had to hold his head funny to see things - so, we had him trimmed up - but, training progress is great - we work on the skills every day - he is very good at NO, wait, potty?, outside!, sit, here, (for when he brings the ball back to us), toys, ball, NICE (which we say to him when giving him a treat so he doesn't snap - or when he's getting "nippy"), and kisses! i learned many years ago that if you can keep your commands to one word - the easier they are for dogs to learn - sooo - ours are all one word -- most are one syllable - and he's done so great! you got your baby today, didn't you?
Our breeder is in Hutchinson, MN. Depending on which route I take, it will be about 2 1/2 or 3 hours from here. I don't think the puppies I will get to choose from have been born yet. Red Cedar Farms is the name of the place I am getting them from. Have fun with your puppy!! Oh goodness I wish I was getting ours like next week!! I will be doing good to get mine in August.
Yup, he's 94 at last reading and we take him in August for his annual check up. We'l see what he is then. His Mom was a standard golden retriever Sophie and his Dad was a standard apricot poodle, Bentley. When I sent pictures to the Breeders they couldn't believe it because they told us that Pemon would max out at 60 - 65 lbs. LOL Not only a big hug, but lots of loving from my "Little Boy".
Marie & AG - those 6 days will FLY by! it's about 100 degrees here today - and about 99% humidity - but willie is loving his romps outside! :) the hotel experience was shocking to us, too! and i do believe that the breed is key to the behavior! i also belong to doodlekisses.com - and sadly, there are some bad "tails" there with "unruly" doodles - but, as a former german shepherd owner, i believe that you get OUT of your furbaby - exactly what you put in them! we shopped around and our MAIN goal in choosing a breeder was the overall temperament of her dogs - i'm sure that EVERY animal has the potential to be unruly or mean - but, i don't think Willie has a mean bone! After training a German Shepherd - Willie's a piece of cake ... :) we take his food away - brush his teeth - take things out of his mouth - all things we did with our german shepherd - i think it's about a trusting relationship ... :) i'm so excited for Monday - just for you! :) hope it's nice and cool for ya - and your peace of mind! :)
