Hello Doodle Family!
It's me, Pedro. I know that Mommy wrote to you about something that is happening to me that I don't know what it is but she took me to the Dr. Vet last week (and stayed home to cuddle with me a couple of days - yay!) and we will be going to see a new-rologist next Monday so he can check my head... I feel fine but Mommy is worried so we'll go and just hope that they don't poke me too much because I don't really like that.
But I'm here to tell you about an advenshur that we had yesterday which was Remembrance Day in Canada and Veterans Day in the United States and it was a day to stay home and honour many good humans and puppies and horse puppies that have fought in wars where sad things happened but where we get freedom and peace.
So we had a morning cuddles and it was a bright, day with blue skies and very windy so there were no rainy clouds. We had breakfast and then Daddy said that we should go for a walk! So exciting! So off we went to Derby Reach which is near our house and is a walk by the Fraser River and it was very windy but it was fun because there were a lots and lots of leaves on the ground and I was walking on them and they would make crunchy noises like when I get a chip and chew it. We came across a Doodle cousin that was 4 years old and I said hello and Mommy and Daddy said hello and his parents told us he weighed 101 pounds and they were surprised that I just weigh 78 pounds. Then Mommy asked them how old he was and they said he's 4 and asked how old I was and Mommy said 7 and they said "years or months?" - hahaha Mommy laughed because she thought that was cute and Daddy said that it was because I'm a goofball...Can you believe it guys, Me, a goofball?!
Anyway, we carried on with our walk and guess what?... I found a PAWSOME stick! Did you see the photo that Mommy posted earlier? it was the right size and chewy and I carried it with me for a while and I chewed it and it made Mommy and Daddy laugh and it made me so happy! I really liked the stick. I sat down to chew it and then I dropped it and Daddy kept walking so I had to pull him back to go get it because I didn't want to leave it behind... then I chewed it some more and then I dropped it in the entrance to the forest because I thought maybe an eagle puppy would like to use it for his nest...
And then the real advenshur happened to us... We went into a trail in the forest and it was very windy, so windy that Mommy said her ears had frozen and would be falling off because she didn't bring a hat and she doesn't have fluffy ears like mine... but the wind was going through the forest really fast and strong and Daddy and me were walking along the trail and Mommy was a few steps behind us when all of a sudden, we all heard this really loud "crack" sound and Mommy looked up and a big branch broked off a tree and she screamed at Daddy and me because the branch started falling and it could hit us, so Daddy and me ran out of the way and the big branch fell on the trail and Mommy was very scared but because she screamed so loud, we were okay. But then she also said that was the end of the walk... so we went back to the open part and Daddy and me said thank you to Mommy for saving us!
We went back to another part of the park where we were protected from the winds and we sat in the sunshine for a little while. But wow, Doodle Family, that was quite an advenshur!
Hope you are all doing well, crushing the fallen leaves and finding pawsome sticks too!
