A Community of Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Lovers

(Weight updated 10-26-12)  Just a reminder - Dulcie is a small medium or a mini depending on the source.  She definitely has the "doodle" personality (goofy, good-natured, extremely intelligent and social with both dogs and people).  The most common break-down of doodle size I've seen is the following, although the designations vary - note that the first size is sometimes called petite and sometimes mini, etc.

Petite or Mini    15-30 lbs.

Mini or Medium  30-45 lbs.

Standard             45 + (up to 100 lbs.)

Another source gave the following breakdown;

Mini    25-35 lbs.

Medium 35-45 lbs.

Standard 45 + with average adult weight of 60-80 lbs.

39 wks.       32.6 lbs.

Jo, Dulcie (at almost 6 years) weighs 38 lbs., and pretty much has maintained that for the last 3 years. She is as active as ever, although she will sit in my lap now. She is mostly leg, so when she curls up she is almost lap size!

  I hope Gizmo is doing okay - I think about you all often!

I'm just now catching up with my doodle friends on this page.  LOL.  Thanks for the information.  Someday IF we get another doodle, we'll know better what we're looking at than when we did when we got Gizmo.  We had no idea what we were doing when we got Giz.

21 weeks and 41 lbs. The kennel told me most of their pups were between 60- 70 lbs, but had some over 100. He's already getting too strong for me if he really wants something!

Both Molly and Howie are outgrowing Dulcie, for sure.  They sure are good hugging sizes, aren't they?  :)

Howie you've got some catching up to do! Molly still has 3 meals a day along with 2 raw chicken wings - she's a greedy madam!
