A Community of Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Lovers

Oh wow it has been awhile since we have been on the site. Mom and dad have been super busy. So much going on. So our aunt Amy who got married in October is going to have a baby. I think we are excited, just not sure because we have never been around a baby. Mom said it is a boy like Brodie and I, that is good we can share toys?  We have some sad news. Our sister Sandi is now in dog heaven. It was such a hard day for mom and dad. Sandi had been with mom for 17 years. She was blind in one eye and losing her sight in her other one. Mom and dad were afraid that she would fall in the pool and drown while they were at work. Because she was so blind she could no longer go camping with us, she was so nervous and would wet in the truck.  I miss her, she was my cuddle buddy. Mom and dad were crying, so Brodie and I cuddled up with them and it seemed to help.

Brodie has been having seizures now and then. Not big ones but they are still coming. The vet said still to soon for medication because of the damage it can cause his liver. They are small and short. As for me I am on a strict diet. Vet said I need to lose at least 10lbs. I am 102.6. I have always been a big boy but it is not healthy for me. Besides now I have to take 2 flea pills because I am to heavy for just one.  Brodie is up to 104lbs but he is 6 inches taller to me so his weight is fine.

We are still camping and tomorrow we are off to the Colorado river to spend 4 days. While I am excited to camp, I am sad because I can't swim. I have been dealign with ear infections for the past two weeks. It is a very deep kind and mom has to but drops in my ears. I do sit still because when she is done I get blueberries as a treat. They are delish.

Hope all my doodle cousins are doing well.  Summer is here so happy swimming and adventures to you all

Hugs and slobbers,

Harrison and Bodie

Thank you so  much for the update, sweet, sweet boys. So sorry to hear that your sister Sandi has gone to Rainbow Bridge. Mommy sends Auntie Kris big hugs and I send lots of loving paws.

More loving paws to you both and please take care. Cousin Harrison, I know it's no fun, but please eat healthy so you can lose the weights and then you can have more treats and we hope that Brodie's seizures aren't bothering him too  much. It's good that the doctor vet is keeping him off medicashuns because the side-effex may not be nice either. Lots of cuddles and lovins probably help more right now.

Loving paws from Pedro

So sorry to hear about Sandi. Our last dog lived to be 18 so I understand that longevity doesn't make it any easier. I'm sure you find comfort in your sweet boys, Harrison and Brodie.

Oh, we are so very sorry to hear that Sandi has crossed over the rainbow bridge, Harrison.  It brings tears to our eyes to think of it, but I'll bet she can see good now, and is playin' with all the other doggies there like she's a puppy again.  OH NO!!  Not a DIET!!!  No treats for you??    Have fun on yer campin' trip, even if you don't get no treats!!

We are so sorry to hear about Sandi. My mom had a buddy like that for 17 years, too, and she said it don't make it easier when they are old, 'cause you have just loved 'em longer. Gee, we hope evvybody gets all better soon!  I get those ear infections, too, 'specially in the summer when I jump in my baby pool a lot.  Yuck! But the blueberries sound good! I bet you will be speedo ready real soon, eatin' like that!  And babies are fun, but you just have to be real gentle with 'em and not treat 'em like a stuffy. Ya'll have a real good summer!   Love, Dulcie (and Trixie)

You guys do sound busy!  I hope the baby gets a squeaky ball so you can share :-)   So sorry to hear about your sister Sandi.  I hope you guys gave your mom extra, extra hugs and kisses to make her feel a little better.  And tell your mom to give Brodie some milk thistle if he decides to go for the drugs.  It helps support your liver.

Camping sounds like fun!  We haven't done any of that fun stuff in a long time and it's making mommy cranky!  Sorry about the no swimming - how you gonna work off that fat if you can't swim?

Have fun on the rest of your trip and stay safe!
