Seeking Advice on my 5 y/o Goldendoodle - Health Oriented

Looking for some advice or guidance from other owners out there...
We have a female F1 Goldendoodle we got from a reputable breeder, DOB: 3/23/2014. She is only fed dog food, no table food or other crap and gets exercise everyday - she maintains a very healthy weight.
About six months ago she started limping (hind legs only) after we would play fetch and she would sit for a while. She is super athletic and loves to run and swim so I blew it off as general stiffness, but then it got worse. We went into our vet and they gave her glucosamine, and we now give that to her daily. After three months of that, we didn't notice any improvement so we took her back in for a blood test and x-rays. The blood test was negative thank goodness, and the x-rays showed some slight pre-arthritis in one of her front legs as well as some inflammation at the rear of her spine - potentially causing some pinched nerve. Good news is there is no current hip dysplasia or disease present. Over the last 3-4 weeks we have provided her all the meds they recommended and continued to exercise her, mostly walking, but a little sprinting with fetch (her absolute favorite thing in this world). Last night I gave her 10 throws with the ball thrower and tennis ball, about a 30 yd sprint and jog back and she has not slowed down a bit when actually running.... but two hours later she couldn't walk up the stairs to go to bed.
My wife and I are really concerned now and wondered if anyone else has experienced this at such a young age. We are considering going to get a second opinion, but I'm not sure what else they could check? Our 2 year old and 6 month old daughters love her and we want her to grow old with them in our house.
All input welcome!
Thank you,
Brian (Columbus, OH)

Thank you all for the input, we are trying to a new anti-inflammatory and then will be checking a few acupuncturists near by. Ohio State has a reputable vet school and is only about 15 minutes from me. I will update once I have anything new to share. Thanks again!

I like the second opinion idea.  Is there a university nearby that has a vet school?

another thought;  if all else fails    Hunt down an active breed club (any breed)  lots of knowledgeable people …   you vet should have offered you someone.

The second opinion will either give you new information, or at least put your mind to rest.

Glucosamine & Condroitin are good for joint pain, but won't do a thing for a pinched nerve.

A good form of exercise is swimming, but that depends on where you live to do it free, or whether your Vet has a hydro-tank for dogs (not free).
