I don't make a habit of purchasing online.. and agree it is very Convenient.

BUT  in mail yesterday was a notice stating that Buyer Advantage was renewing my coverage at 159.99.

I did not know who this company was or represented.  Their  800 number is 800-553-4948..    with further digging I found I was auto charged ever year, per yearly coverage for flowers from Bloom Today..   since 2009..  Damn expensive guaranteed, flowers.

Membership, is now cancelled and/but waiting for a return call concerning recourse.

Thanks for the heads-up, Lois.  I check my credit card statements EVERY month ... just to be sure!!

Debra, I am so sorry to hear about your father.  Please be careful with "treatments".  I know of someone who was diagnosed with stomach cancer and decided to seek treatment from someone who claimed all sorts of things from a website.  This person says he can cure cancer by changing your diet and doing all kinds of unorthodox things.  He claimed to have all sorts of degrees that made him a "specialist" - most of which were untrue.  He had the poor man on a very strange diet ... no carbs ... no sugar and I think no protein.  I'm not sure WHAT he was eating, but he did lose weight quickly.  The problem was that he didn't need to lose the weight and he DID need the nutrients he was being denied by this quack.  The treatment was stopped when the man's son came home (from a different state) to visit at Christmas and started asking questions.  Anyone can make statements to the public and no one is the wiser.  The man & his wife didn't want to face reality and looked for a miracle cure.  It's so heartbreaking ... they wasted all that time and money instead of living each day to the fullest while they had it.  I hope you and your family enjoy each other while you can and spend as much time with each other as possible.  Hugs!

Debra, I am sorry to hear what you are coping with.  They have made lots of progress with this disease in particular (I have a very good friend whose Dad was diagnosed a year and a half ago, and he is doing very well), but it doesn't stop the worry!  Will keep you all in my thoughts . . .

That's the way parents are!  They don't want to worry you.  There was a recent news story about the advances they've made in the treatment of prostate cancer...wish now I'd paid more attention to the details.  It was all good and hopeful though.

Oh Debra, so sorry to hear about your Dad.  Are they going to be able to help him?  You all are in my thoughts and prayers.

Hugs, Grace & Pemon

Debra, blogs as you write remind me how blessed we are, today, this hour.  Monetary value is nothing vs mortality.

I hope you can get your money back Lois.  I do  a lot of shopping online, but am very careful because a lot of times they store your credit card information.

I guess I've been lucky so far.  When I order Magazines and I usually never pay more then $7.00 per year for a subscription.  I pay with a check.  Because if you pay will a credit card they hold that information and automatically renew your subscription at a very inflated price.  They won't do that to your checking account.

Yes, Debbie, so true.  My mom turns 90 in March, and she still has her little dog who is 19 and a half (!!!!!) and incontinent, so my sis inherited that issue, too.  And thanks, Beverly - it's nice to have empathetic ears at the ready!
