Eli is 6 years old and has never lost his exuberance for anything....on top of that he's really big.

Thank you everyone. Been going to the dog park for exercise! He loves

playing with other dogs. Will keep you posted on how everything goes!

Max is beautiful!  I bet he loves to play in the snow.  You just reminded me that I have a Thunderleash.  I was working with him over a year ago but have been hitting the dirt trails instead of the paved walking paths where others are.  I've tried a couple types of harnesses including the Easy Walk and none have worked for us.  The Thunderleash was the best but I have to loosen it up because if it is putting the littlest pressure on Picco, he won't walk at all. And if it doesn't work at least you still have a good leash!

The other thing I like about the harness is if it ever gets damaged, they will take it back and repair it for $5 including return shipping.

I now own about a half dozen of these, mostly because had 2 dogs, and because one of them chewed the front section while not being monitored (once - my fault, had her in a down-stay and wasn't watching how she was amusing herself, and the next day because I put another one on her and took her to the groomer where they left it on her while she was waiting in the crate there so she chewed that one too).  Found myself having to order another spare while waiting to get the two I sent back for repairs to be returned.

I totally love the Sensible harness -

(apparently carries them too).

The leash attaches to the harness in front, so when the dog pulls/lunges they end up facing you.  Something about having the harness around the body is calming as well.  I use a short leash - 4'  with it for best results.  It has been a lifesaver!

there is both collars and harness's.     More walking not less...   Dogs just love to meet and greet.  But you can control him...  short leash is better.. Keeping Him at your side..  You have more power with a 4 f00t leash than a long line .

He’s amazing at dog parks

and trail running. Is there a collar or harness that may help?

I still have that problem after 7 years!  Picco is great, listens well but on leash walks he acts like he's never seen another dog before!
