At this point we are trying with our vet to stabilize our Molly. I have had issues with Molly from the moment we got her. From the moment I got her we had to call her breeder. We discussed her lack of eating, vomiting, diarrhea, and after 5 years we finally have an answer. I received a text a few months back from another breeder that I should have Molly checked for Addisons because it ran in her pedigree. I called our vet and after an ACTH test, we found out she has Addisons. Five years of illnesses, exploratory surgery, and near death situations where she had to be IV'd and hospitalized. I cannot tell you the thousands of dollars we have spent to what seemed no avail. I am frustrated, depressed about this, and struggling with her meds (titration) and incontinence. We love her so much, and wish we could have alleviated five years of heartache and suffering on her part and ours. It was very stressful running to emergency clinics and our vet every time we had a situation. My hope is that if your pet vomits sometimes, turns away from their food, has occasionally diarrhea, diagnosed with giardia or IBS or coilitis, acts lethargic, etc. check and make sure their pedigree doesn't have Addison's Disease, AND realize that it is NOT just in standard pooldes. Molly's lineage had minature poodles. Addison's is a horrible disease and extremely costly to diagnose and treat.
