MINI GOLDEN DOODLE FEEDING> VET SAID OK TO CUT OUT MID DAY FEEDING.

HI ALL.

My mini golden doodle Rey is going to be 4 months old on the 28th of March.  Her weight is 11.4 lbs.  Vet said I can start to cut out the lunch time meal.

Question for those of you with mini's and have cut to 2 meals a day. How much do you feed your dog now that you cut out the mid day meal? Have you stayed the same portions? I give her puppy single serve wet food with 1/4 cup of dry.  Didn't know if that should increase. I'll call my vet tomorrow and ask, but I was just wondering what you all did.

Thanks for reading. Hope all is well. Thanks in advance for your replies. :) IMG_2290.JPG

Well then she's still growing for another 7 months or so.  Mini's top out weight & height a bit sooner than standards.  Keep weighing her so you can be sure 1) she's gaining weight appropriately, and 2) to adjust the amount you feed her.

Take lots of pictures, because they change so fast! ;)

I'm sorry, I meant to say that she will be 5 month on the 28th of March. Ugh! LOL

DonMarie & Picco - totally agree.  Allow a little extra for growth, and weigh regularly to be sure. Divide day's worth into 2 portions instead of 3.  Easy peasy. ;)

Cute photo!  I don't have a mini but you should still be increasing her food as she grows.  So split the total amount for the day into 2 servings instead of 3.
