A Community of Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Lovers

I haven't had much chance to update all my doodle friends about Mowgli, we've been very busy!

Mowgli is growing into a very mellow, very loving Mama's boy!  The weather has been un seasonably warm here, so, each night I have been trying to get Mowgli outside for a walk.   I'm trying to teach him to walk beside me and not all over the sidewalk!  I don't think it will take long for him to catch on.  He is still coughing and strangling himself all the way, but, slowly he's catching on.  He never has been one to run after someone or another dog, but he does like to go sniffling in other people's lawns.  We're working on it =)

Mowgli is now about 16 pounds.  Although he is still growing, he hasn't been gaining as much as quickly, so, we're starting to wonder if he is beginning to top off.  (But, now that I said that out loud, I'll probably be reading this laughing when we have a 45 pound Mini MINI golden doodle!  Lol)

We love to get him plush toys that he can play with when he is in his kennel at night (he has hard chew toys - lots of them - but they keep us awake at night if we put them in with him).  The Plush Monkey Mortality rate at our house rises everyday =)  I brough him home a brand new one on Monday that was the size of him(we had company over the weekend and he was SO obedient when they were here - he deserved a surprise!).  I looked away and Mowgli had that poor mokey decapitated with a leg amputation within 10 minutes.  Oh well, he still carries it around lovingly one minute and furiously rips out any remainder of stuffing the next.  =)

The nicer it gets outside, the more I enjoy this sweet little doodle!  =)

LOL!  I know what you mean....we've both got a lot of pics of Gizmo on our phones.  I took two this morning on the way to the vet's office.  He was in the very back of our SUV and put his chin on the back seat and stared at us.  How cute was that?  Definitely a Kodak moment.  I'm gonna look at your photos.

Jo - I did post a few pictures the other day.  I'll keep them coming...I think I have like 150 pictures on my phone of just him!  =)

It was so good to see your post.  I've been wondering about little Mowgli.  It sounds like he is a joy to have and be around.  Have you posted any new pics?  I'd love to see him now vs then.

Maybe he also wants to be a surgeon... :)

Sounds like Mowgli is a happy, curious little (still) doodle and he is SO cute! Congrats Kristen!

Thanks for the suggestion!...We don't let him sleep with him until the stuffing is all out - which takes about 10 minutes - for that reason!  I wouldn't have thought of it, but, when he plays with them I have to watch him close because he'll just chew that stuffing and swallow!  Our Mowgli would eat literally everything if we let him.  And yet, somedays it's hard to get him to eat his FOOD.  Lol.

Kristen.... I have to suggest it may not be good to allow him to have any stuffed toys when you are asleep..  Mine I know would have a mouth full.  The stuffing does not digest and in large chunks can block the intestines, which means surgery.   My vet has shown me balls of stuffing she has had to remove.
