A Community of Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Lovers
Yes, I admit it. I've been seeing others. Sooner or later, the photos will show up in the National Enquirer or Star magazine at your local grocery checkout, so I might as well post them here and now so that Ginger won't get the news second hand.
I know, I'm addicted to lap-dogs. I've tried it with Ginger, and she will put up with it for a bit, but then gets antsy and wants down. The others....well, they will turn around and try to kiss me. What can I say?
Ole Blue was on my lap at an SPCA event at the local theatre when they showed a dog movie. We got several interested people at that event. A few new volunteers and two adoptions the next week from folks that saw a dog there and called back.
Emily, the one with the "Adopt Me" bandana, still can't find that perfect forever home. She came to us with 10 puppies and all of them found homes. Poor Emily, she just wants to be loved. We had a great time at the local Market Days craft show downtown in Marble Falls. So many people just loved her, and she loved every minute of it. We got 7 (count them...SEVEN!) adoptions from that event.
I was lucky to have found Ginger as an owner surrender at the SPCA. I know that most all of the members here have pure blood Doods, but mutts need and want and will give love, too. They need homes. My point ? Please...ANY support, time or money or just passing the word, would be SO appreciated by the dogs and the volunteers that take care of them at NO-Kill shelters. We can't make a difference to all dogs, but we can make a difference in one dog's life.
