Hi everyone! Seeking some advice for Clover’s itchyness. She’s been extremely itchy lately (all over her body) and we cannot find the underlying factor. I’ve changed all cleaning products, her diet/treats (protein/brand), bathing products, and she has no signs of fleas. Has anyone experienced this? I’ve had a few vet appointments in which all resulted in the same answers: food / enviormental allergies or dry skin due to the winter.

Has anyone experienced the following? If so - please send some tips/advice along our way!

Izzi developed allergies... Itchy, reddening in several areas, including paws..   Vet has put her on a life-time medication.    She is doing well.    Redness is gone, no longer itchy spots and chewing paws.

Each area around the country will have a different allergy alert... So, see your vet...

Izzi is now 10 yrs of age..   Still loves her zoomies..

Picco still licks his paws alot still and some itching.  I'm not really sure what happened or is still going on but he's much better than in the past.  I changed everything too and it did help.  It takes time after switching over for changes to reach the skin.  I don't have to worry about flea & tick stuff here.  Picco can't have any junk treats - pure meats or natural biscuits or he will get hot spots.

Have you tried oatmeal based shampoos.  Try to get something without additives - dyes, scents.  I've been using Ikara Comfort shampoo & Nurture conditioner. Also Pramoxine Anti-itch shampoo works pretty well.  You do have to let it soak in for about 10 mins.

There is sage advice here: https://goldendoodles.com/forum_notes/forum_notes8.htm

And, since I didn't re-read the whole thing, I would add:

When you bathe your dog, rinse well, until you are sure you've gotten all the soap out, then rinse one more time for good measure. ;)

Also - she is currently on a grain free dehydrated raw diet and is given salmon oil on a daily basis. Flea & tick medication was changed from the soresto collar to nexgard.
