How big is your 'mini' goldendoodle??

Long time no update! Albi is 6 months old now. I posted some new pictures of him yesterday. He just gets cuter and cuter.

I had him fixed on September 16 and he is perfectly healed now. The day of his surgery he was 14 pounds, but I think he may have even gained a pound since then.

If at 6 months albi is about 15 pounds, how big do you think he'll get once he is full grown? He still seems like such a little guy to me, he only reaches my knee when he stands on his back legs! I'm wondering if he'll get any taller, or just keep filling out weight wise.

If you have a mini, at what weight did he max out?

Ps - he's adorable, in any case! :)

I think the growth chart ( ) is a bit off, in that it doesn't really account for truly small doodles, but it indicates Albi will likely top out at 20 pounds...  He's about 90% of his adult height as well.

Hope this helps,

Emily, my doodle was supposed to be a mini, but ended up being more of a small medium.  I kept a growth chart until she was a year old.  One of my old blog posts has the chart, but I think you may have to be my "friend" on the site to see it.    I think the title was Dulcie's Growth Chart and Doodle Size - you might do a search in the search box, upper right of the page and see if it pops up.  The standard that I have seen is double the weight at 4 months and add 5-10 lbs. for final weight estimate.  Sounds like Albi is going to be quite a bit smaller - Dulcie weighed 25 lbs. at 6 months and is now at 37-38 lbs.  She was 15 lbs. at 4 months, so the tabulation was right on for her.  Her legs just kept growing and she can steal stuff off my counter!  She is still very slim at almost 5 years.  I can pick her up pretty easily.  I adore her, and even though she ended up being bigger than anticipated, there is just more of her to love!  :) I am sure it will be the same with your baby, Tiny or Biggy!
