Don't know if I told you that Memorial Day weekend I went into a severe diabetic coma with my sugar dropping below 15. The paramedics said thank heavens Mark called 911 when he did. I was almost a goner. Spent about 3 days in the hospital with that one. Meds have been adjusted and that seems to be working.
Well, August 23rd I had a bad fall and broke my Femur. Left one, same one I broke in 2009, but in a different spot. Bent the post they put in in 2009 which had to be removed and replaced and then they put a couple of plates and pins in the new fracture including the upper left side of my knee. Was in the Hospital and Rehab center until 9/12. I don't want to bore you all, but we had a horrible experience with the insurance and home health agencies. I'm beginning not to trust the medical field at all. That's that in a nut shell.
So, After many weeks I'm finally on therapy at home. Poor Mark, working full time and having to take care of me. He built me a platform from the living room to the family room (where my computer is). The other day I made it up and down the ramp by myself, but that still doesn't sit too well with Mark. I have to get caught up on Mark's Company books and our personal budget. I'm getting there slowing.
I use a transport board from the wheel chair to the portable toilet and bed. I'm getting really good at that.
I use to call Mark everytime I did this as I was afraid I was going to fall. But I don't have to call him anymore. I can't wait until I can walk again, but I think it will be another month.
But, I'm O.K. otherwise. LOL. I will try to get caught up and I'm so sorry I have not welcomed the new people that have joined our community - But I will say welcome now and you will enjoy our Doodle family, we have some wonderful members and lots of beautiful Doodles.
Love you guys,
