I have not forgotten my Doodle family. I've just been so busy. And a couple of weeks ago I was almost a goner. I went into a diabetic coma, foaming from the mouth and nose and swallowing my tongue. My sugar dropped below 15. Mark called 911 which saved me. I felt so bad for him because we never really discussed that this could happen to me. I had forgotten to check my sugar that morning and if I had it never would have happened. I am now checking my sugar 3 to 4 times a day and Mark will not let me fall asleep in my chair. One night he even woke Pemon out of a dead sleep and I told Pemon the new rule was that no one can go to sleep in our house. Then Pemon was sitting up and begging to be taken for a walk. Then Mark yelled at him to leave him alone. Can you believe that? I told Mark not to yell at him because he woke him up and that now he had to take him for a walk. LOL I was in the Hospital from 5/24 to 5/27. They finally let me out on my 17th wedding anniversary and Mark cooked us lobster tails and filet mignon. Yummy.
I'm O.K. now though and I promise to try to catch up on things. I would like to welcome all the new members that I missed and I will try to get to that next week.
I have to warn you if any of you are at retirement age and on medicare be careful before picking Humana as your Advantage Plan. You are not allowed to have your regular PCP take care of you in the hospital. I had three different doctors seeing me and had to tell them my medical history over and over again. If my doctor was there she would have known my record. Next year I am changing Companies. They changed a lot of my medicines and when I went to see my Doctor she changed a lot of them back. They just didn't have a clue.
I'm glad I'm back as that was really scary and I'm not ready to leave yet.
Love and hugs to all,
Grace & Pemon, The Gentle Giant.
