A Community of Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Lovers

I am sad to say the person who introduced me to this awesome breed of dog passed away this week. Losing her 10 year battle at the age of 44 to breast cancer. She always told me their was no breed like this and the personality was worth the money. After two years of looking I decided to buy one. Now my Charlie is a year old and I have to say he is the best dog I have ever had. So loving it is almost annoying and now has hit a stage where he is protective of me. Who would have thought something so cute and fluffy could sound and act so tuff. Seeing that it is October and Breast Cancer Awareness Month I wanted to post this. As my friend was also a doodle lover and owned two herself. Thanks to all of you for the great pics and the smiles you bring. As I am an RN working full time and going back to school full time for my BSN I do not have much spare time on my hands but look at the pics and posts when I can. Especially when the bad days out number the good. Again thanks for being such a great group of crazy doodle owners.

Happy Birthday Linda.

Linda:  Now is the time to probably read one of Pedro's stories (you can't help but laugh) or look at the videos and remember if it wasn't for your good friend, you wouldn't have Charlie to cheer you up or this website.  She must have been a real fighter.  that is why she was with you for 10 years.  Now just remember there is another star in the sky shining down on you.  You're right you can not save everyone, but think of the people you have saved and helped.  You are definitely making a difference in the world.  You are leaving your mark.   May she rest in peace - not more suffering and I will remember her in my prayers.

Thank you all for the kind words. It has been a difficult year for me personally and questioning why I became a nurse. As lately the bad days have out numbered the good. I try to remember every day I became a nurse to help people, and sometimes no matter how hard you try some things are not meant to be. Some times it is hard to accept you can not save everyone. Thanks for being such a great group and the free therapy.

Sorry to hear of your loss.  It sounds like her doodles brought her happiness and that she shared that with others.

Such a sad but beautiful story, look towards all the good she did, cuddle charlie and remember her with fondness.  xx

So sorry Linda for the loss of your friend.  I know what that feels like.  There is nothing like a Doodle to make you smile and laugh.  With  everything that has happened in the last two years to me, if it wasn't for Pemon I probably would have been a manic depressant!  Oh, and this website with all the good people and fun times I have has been a tremendous help also.  As they say, Life is what you make out of it.

Linda, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss.  My aunt is a breast cancer survivor, and I'm thankful to all the people who help by donating their time or funds to find a cure.  Thank you for reminding us about Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Linda, I'm so sorry for your loss of such a good friend! You are in my thoughts and I am so glad that your friend introduced you to so much sunshine, that's what my Doodles are to me "Sunshine".
