A Community of Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Lovers

Help please. We have a 10 week old f1 Goldendoodle. When we brought her home she was super sweet and this past week she has begun to sound almost vicious when picked up. This usually happens if we are trying to take her outside to go potty or she’s outside and we are trying to bring her in. I do not want her to bite my daughter, or anyone else for that matter. Any suggestions why she is doing this and how we can curb this behavior?

I hope the biting and growling have improved. Our Doodle was a handful for a couple of weeks around this same age. He would just sit there and yap at us for what seemed like hours. Drove us crazy. We just continued giving him lots of loving and limited his crate time during the day so he could be around us and he grew out of it around week 12-13. He is now the sweetest thing. Hope you found the same to be the case.

Helps me, but we have an older dog as well, and he also loves to play although he has never been a biter. He lets her bite him till he gets sick of it and then he gently lets her know. That makes her go lay down and behave. My Doodle is adorable and sweet, except the biting. I think for the most part they just have to outgrow it and we have to be patient.

I seem to be joining this discussion a little late, but want you to know at 10 weeks all you are dealing with at this point is baby teeth.  She is/was just playing in the only way she knew as part of a litter.  Replacing bites with toys will teach her how to play with her new home..  By now she should be getting the point of what is allowed..
