I'm always sad when I have to take bogey to the groomer.  I love his hair long and wavy. His grooming maintenance was getting difficult so I needed to make it easier.  It was getting so difficult to maintain.  So, off to the groomer he went.

Yes, Bogey prefers the 80's look...lol  He's not the trendy type..lol

Oh Bogey, you are so cute both before and after the haircut!

But I know what you mean Dona, I also usually like it long and wavy but it's harder to maintain so Pedro gets a cut twice a year -he was shaved once and he looked so sad and skinny, never again!- and then bath and tidies which normally mean a light trim to keep the hair from matting and his eyes clear so he can see and more importantly, give us "The Look" - LOL!

Loving paws, Pedro and Alessandra

I think it looks great too.  You found a good groomer.  You handsome Dood, Bogey!

I just told her I didn't want him shaved all the way.. and she asked if 1/2 off was okay and I said that was fine.  I also said I didn't want a lot off his head... just trim up all the necessary areas.  He's poofy now but once he gets damp he will look more normal again..lol I'm not even sure if she uses clippers or scissors.  It looks like clippers but I can't be certain.  I hadn't gotten any matting on him but he was getting knotty behind the ears... and he's no prince charming when I try to brush or comb him, which doesn't make it any easier.  His hair was just so wiry and the comb and brush was not going through it very smoothly :(

He looks adorable both ways!  I am really struggling to keep Dulcie's long coat, especially after trips to the farm, but have managed to do so by occasionally scissoring out the really bad mats.  I have had to trim around her eyes, because her vision was was a little impaired.  I really like Bogey's cut, though.  How do you tell your groomer to trim him?  Does she use clippers or scissor cut?
