My goldendoodle Soba is15 months old, and we have kept her in the "lamb/puppy" cut, short, same length. Her coat is getting longer and  I am brushing her every day with a slicker brush.  She is still getting mats, is there another brush I should get?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

My Groomer also suggest a slicker brush but be careful to stay away from their sensitive skin and you can keep up with it with a comb before the matting gets too large.

Thanks for the comments will try slicker against coat growth.  The not wetting thing is tough as she is at the beach and in the water almost daily...

We use a comb on Vito... he thinks it's a game though which makes it hard. Would we better serve him by using a slicker brush? His hair is long and wavy.

Slicker brush is GREAT! but, you need to go against the coat growth not just with it. Mats go with the growth of the coat by breaking them in the other direction they come out easier. Tip-never wet your dood with mats they will get closer to the skin. If you have any other grooming questions feel free to ask. That is what I do for a living :)
