A Community of Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Lovers

Anybody else have a groaning Doodle?  Dulcie has started groaning while she is sleeping, or pretending to sleep.  She actually went on for such a long time one morning that I got up and turned the lights on to make sure she was okay.  She stopped and just looked at me like "Well, what are you doing up in the middle of the night?" She is playing enthusiastically, eating fine, everything else okay.  Maybe it's just a doodle trait to add to our list?  Here is a pic after we were at the farm playing for a couple of hours - enthusiasm unwaned!

First of all, Dulcie, your beautiful photo just made my day! You are so sweet and so precious! I love you!

Second... :) Pedro does a bit of the groaning too. Sometimes when Glen and I are talking, he seems to feel the need to interject and say something. Other times, when we walk in the door from being out for any length of time, he just seems to make a point and then we ask him questions and he carries on until he decides we're too boring and he goes find his kong for me to fill or one of his stuffies with a brand new ailment that he needs to operate on... Chatty Doodles!!

Picco growls in his sleep and also while just hanging out. I took me awhile to notice that its just communication and not meanness (his tail does wag a bit). Now my husband growls back and continues the conversation for quite awhile! It's so darn cute!

Thanks, Beverly - that makes me feel better! She is the "chattiest" dog I have ever had!  Doesn't do the usual barking and yipping, just talks a lot, lol!

Our Golden Retriever, Chesney, is a groaner. Eli does occasionally but not as often. I used to wake Chessie up to see if he was ok. Got the same, "Whatever?" look.
