Happy Thanksgiving, everyone! I hope your day was wonderful.
I have to apologize for being so lax in updating Gizmo's illness. We have been so busy with human dr. appointments and life in general.
So ..... we only have to take Gizmo to the vet every few months unless we see that he is going downhill. His bloodwork wasn't good when it was done last Friday, but the vet says there are other things that will affect it. As long as he is eating, drinking, peeing and his activity level is good, we will not worry.
He has been such a lover-puppy. He plays ball with us in the house and sometimes outside if it's not too cold for me to be outside. He is eating, although he still doesn't like the smell of his food - and neither do we, but he eats it. Sometimes I have to put a little turkey/chicken in it. He loves his sugar free popsicles and asks for them by licking his lips. Doc says that's ok as long as it's not every day or too often. He does get fatigued easily, but we're dealing with that. He drinks and pees, so it's all good.
We may see this BUN and creatinine levels rise. They were pretty high last time. If it continues to rise then we'll know we're not winning the battle. Until then, we'll keep doing what we have been doing.
Thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
