A Community of Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Lovers
Well, so it's been a few days since I had the chance to tell you about our beautiful vacation in the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia, Canada, which is where Daddy and I were born and where Mommy chose to live a few years back.
After that, a whirlwind of events happened, amongst them the fact that Mommy got so worried about a bump on my head that she stayed home from work and took me to the Vet's office. First, Mommy thought that a tick puppy had bit me and gotten inside my skin and that had caused the bump. I guess it would have been gross and annoying, but it could also had made me sick, though I wasn't itchy or had any other symptoms. But when she took me to the vet it turned out it was what Mommy calls a "growth" and she got more worried and had to close her eyes when the nice doctor took out a needle to get a sample of the stuff inside the bump. Mommy doesn't like needles, you see? She doesn't like them on her, she doesn't like them on TV, she definitely doesn't like them on me, but I am a brave boy so I didn't even flinch (plus the doctor's assistant was hugging me really tight so I couldn't move anyway). Long story short, as humans say, everything turned out OK. They gave me some medicine, the bump went away and Mommy and Daddy are happy that what was inside it is not bad and hopefully it won't grow back. Mommy told me that she shared with all your humans what was going on and that she got so many nice comments and wishes for my recovery that she was really touched and really feels -as I do- that this Goldendoodles Community online is a real family. Mommy and I are thankful for that.
Then, the summer warm weather went away and the green leaves on the trees started to turn yellow, orange and red. Some trees look like they have a fire and they look so pretty! The sky has been blue for the most part, but some mornings it's also really foggy, which is really cool because everything is white and hazy and I like going out on the deck and saying good morning to the World when it's like that. Also, the geese puppies are flying all together heading down south and the duck puppies are hanging out in the pond close to our house.
A few days ago, Mommy and Daddy and my Human Brother and me got all together to celebrate a giving thanks day... well, humans call it Thanksgiving and I think my Doodle buddies and your humans in the US celebrate this day in a few weeks, but me and all other Canadian Doodles and our humans have this Thanksgiving day at the beginning of October. Daddy cooked a lot of yummy things and I got my share of some of them. He cooked this big turkey bird in the oven and it was very delicious. He also made some pumpkin dessert that made Mommy very happy. You see, Humans like their treats too!
But I think what we all liked the most is that the giving thanks day celebration is a chance to remember that we should be thankful for our health, our vacations, our homes, the golden trees and all the other puppies of many species, our Humans, our Friends on Goldendoodles.com... and our treats and toys too!
