Farley's home again!

What a great vet I have!  He went to the clinic to feed Farley @ 1 am and later in the day took him for a couple of walks to check for progress.  All the blood tests showed many things he DOESN'T have - which is a good thing to know.  And by next weekend Farley should be finished his aquatherapy for his cruceate surgery rehab.

I'm really hoping to stay away from all vets for a L O N G time!  Cross your fingers!

Laurie, Nug & Puk  Thanks for asking about Farley's health.  I think we're finally winning the battle.  He's walking hills 3 times a day and is less tired at the end.  A month ago, he'd return to the house & sleep after exercising.  Now he still has energy and is becoming his old goofy self with every passing day.  The series of aquatherapy sessions will be over this week and then its just longer walks with steeper hills.  Once I get over my fears of reinjuring, I'll start to take him for swims in Lake Ontario.  His digestive tract issues also seemed to be solved too- so I'm a very happy camper!

Terri - I was saddened to hear of your dog's health issues.  Farley and I have been thru a lot this year and I know how consuming your dog's health problems can become.  Hopefully you have confidence and faith in your vet.  It took me 2 months to finally realize I had to find a new vet and asked every dog owner I met.  (The best reference came from the owner of an independent pet shop).  Now I have the most awesome vet you could wish for - and no more expensive.

I wish you all the best in resolving your health issues.

Marg:  I'm so glad to hear that Farley is O.K.  So he didn't eat the birds?  I really was upset tonight hearing about Farley and Teri Prem's Doodle both being sick.  I hate to see animals suffer.  They are so helpless sometimes.  Thank heavens though.
