Thank you all!  She is so fast at eating her poop, I get to clean up a little bit before I get there but she just chows!  YUCK, I really hope it passes!

April, you can try giving her pineapple to eat, for some reason it makes them not want to eat the poop, don't know why, poop is gross no matter what. You might give it a try though.

I've read that it's an instinctual behaviour to clean up their space and after themselves -as gross as it is to us, I know-. We never had the problem with Pedro but I understand it's a phase that they do grow out of... I'll quote from the book "Mother Knows Best, the natural way to train your dog" by Carol Lea Benjamin that I have recommended to other fellow new doodle puppy humans:

After explaining that it can happen out of boredom or to get rid of the evidence of a potty accident and pointing out that not only is it gross but may make the puppy sick from eating her own poopy, she writes: "The only way to break this habit is to clean up immediately after your dog evacuates. When he's outside, keep him on leash and do not let him sniff the droppings of other dogs. This habit may take a few weeks to break, especially if your puppy is using papers while you are out to work. But by keeping things as clean as possible, you will end the habit soon enough. Try not to freak out when your pup "cleans up" by himself. This too shall pass."

I'm sorry April, not sure this is much encouragement or help, but I am sure that other Doodle humans on the community will offer other opinions and or suggestions.

Good luck & loving paws from Pedro

I was told longggggg time ago to sprinkle meat tenderizer on their food.  I have no idea if it works or not.. but it was mentioned to me from a Pug breeder.  Maybe google

Why eat dog poop when there is yummy cat poop, with a covering of crunchy litter and even the smoothy deer poop with a side of grass.  Ummmm, yummmy !

Sorry, can't help, April.  We have too much of the other yummy stuff.
