My Husband and I have an 11 month old F1 Goldendoodle named Lily. She has been a dream. Aside from a few accidents in the house, she's been easy to potty train, knows how to sit and lay down and walks on the leash without any problems. We love her to pieces. The only problem we are having with her is leaving her in the crate. She has severe anxiety, and we notice that when we come back home and let her out, her paws are wet (presumably from licking them, or from her saliva) and her little beard under her mouth is soaked as well. She doesn't have accidents in her crate and does really well at night when we're with her. Aaron (hubby) works from home, so she spends basically all day out of the crate with him, but he does put her in there for 30 minutes at a time to "nap". So, her problem is really only when she can't see us. We've left shirts that smell like us, toys, blankets, a clock, noise makers .. at this point, everything under the moon that we've read online, we've tried. We've only had her for two weeks, and are hoping that this is just a stage. She sleeps great at night in her crate, but then again, it's because we're in the same room as her. We did have her in another room at first, and she would cry for a while and eventually fall asleep.
Any tips/suggestions/advice/etc? We feel bad for her and would hate for her to continually experience stress when we're away.
