A Community of Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Lovers

It has been a while since I’ve written on my blog, but I know that Mommy has kept in touch and she’s been showing me and Daddy the photos of all the new friends and cousins that have joined the Doodle community. She showed me Sunny’s alpaca puppies and turkey puppies and other puppies that live in his farm and it’s pawsome! Also, everyone’s Christmas photos and I know that she shared with you my New Year’s resolutions! So far I’m doing OK with those.

Mommy says that I still bark a lot sometimes so she now does this thing with her big finger, she points at my nose and says “NO!” really loud and sometimes -if I’m not paying enough attention- she will snap my nose with her finger... She tries to look really stern, but I look at her with my BIG EYES and most times she puts the finger down. Then I bark again and the finger goes back up. And then I lick it and she laughs. I tell you, Mommy is real easy to train. On the other hand, Daddy grabs my cheek and it hurts so I yelp really loud when he does that but then I can’t really bark with my cheek all pinched, so I have to stop and if he lets go, I just bark a little quieter to let him know that I didn’t like that. But Daddy is harder to convince with “The Look”. Definitely need to practice it more on him.

I am very impressed with my cousins Spencer, Elliott and Molson because they seem to be on the way to become pawrchaeologists and that’s why they dig and dig, because they are looking for evidence of pawsome cultures of historical Doodles... or is it hysterical?

I am a little sad because we haven’t had any good snow to play and run in. I like it so much, I like burying my nose in it and making it fly and I like running in it and eating it, but we have had a lot of fog and a lot of rain and it has been cold, but not cold enough for snow flakes. Daddy says that we will and I think he is very smart so when we do, I’ll tell you all about it.

Also, I want to say thanks for all your nice words and comfort that you gave Mommy because she has been so worried about my hips that are dysplasiaded (I do not think this is a human word, I just made it up) but we went to my vet friends the other day and the doctor checked me and she told Mommy and Daddy that I’m doing fine and that I don’t have any pains or discomforts, which I could have told them if they spoke Doodle, but they don’t. The only thing is that after all the turkey dinners and special treats that I’ve had over the holidays, I weighed 79 pounds and the doctor and Mommy and Daddy say that I should lose a few pounds. I’m not going to be on a diet, but I will be more active and I will be ok.

Lastly, I want to tell you that this Saturday we are going to a Doodle Meetup again! Yay! YAY!! I am very excited because it is going to be tons of fun and many Doodle friends and I think even my littermate that I met last time we went, will be there. I can’t wait! I will ask Mommy to take lots of photos and we’ll share them with you, okay Doodle Family? I so wish it was a Doodle-Palooza with all of you! I so wish that we could all get together and have pawty... Maybe one day we will!

Loving paws to everyone!

Louise, I think the map would be a good idea too.  guess we would have to ask Blue.  The Doodle Palooza we're talking about would be when one of us hit the Lottery and win millions.  Then the winner can pay for everyone.    I know, I know..............don't hold your breath!

Louise ... I think the map idea is a wonderful idea! I don't know how hard it would be to add to the site, but I'm definitley in favor of it.

Have fun at your Doodle romp sweet Pedro. I know you will have an awesome time. I'm so glad that you are doing well.

Pedro, it was so good to hear from you.  I'm really excited about your Doodle-palooza party!  Wish I could come.  I can't wait to see your photos and hear your stories.  You are a very good story teller.  When I go to doggie day care with mommy sometimes there are other doodles there.  One time there were at least four of us!  We were the same, but different.  There were even a couple of aussie-doodles.  They looked like doodles, but one was gray and the other was black & white.

We had some snow, but mommy wouldn't take me for a walk in it.  She said it was tooooo cold ... only 9 degrees - whatever that is.  She didn't want my paws to freeze to the sidewalk.  Mommy moved the snow off the sidewalk by my porch and even made a big spot for me to potty.  I didn't use the potty spot, but I really had fun jumping at the snow when she moved it!

Then mommy AND daddy got sick, so I didn't get ANY walks.  They wouldn't even play with me much!  A couple times I got to go to doggie daycare and even spent the night a few times.  That was fun. Then it rained and the snow went away, so mommy took me for a walk.  I LOVED it and was sooooo good .... she kept telling me that.  :)  Now the snow is coming back, so I prolly won't get to walk much.  :(

I'm glad your hips don't hurt.  My hip hurts sometimes and mommy gives me rim-a-dill in a peanut butter glob. Boy, I sure like my rim-a-dill!  I walk a little funny cuz of my hip, but it usually doesn't stop me from doing "stuff".  Don't worry about your weight.  Just take lots of walks and do the zoomie thing and you'll get all slim in no time.

Love ya, Pedro.  Your cousin, Gizmo.

Pedro, what a great update, we've been missing your input. Mommy does a good job but Doodle speak is better!!

Glad your going to be ok, have a great time at your meet up, can't wait to see the pictures. I may have the same opportunity with my 17 litter-mates next month. If so my Mommy will take lots of pictures too!!

Our snow is all gone again :( but its going to get cold again so hopefully we will have more. When Mommy took me for my walk tonite I managed to find 3 small piles and rolled in them and ate as much as I could. Don't know where it all goes but want it back soon, I'm not allowed in the backyard right now cuz is so muddy and I will make a mess.

It would be so cool to have a Doodle-Palooza but we are from all over the place so don't think that could work. Maybe we could have a map added to the site and everyone can pin themselves, then we can see who is close to who and have a mini-meet!

Well I gotta go, cuz I am totally pooped out after my extra long walk (mommy was hoping to tire me out) didn't happen cuz I got the  crazy puppy zoomies all over the house when we got back. I'm gonna go crash by the front door now.

Later buddy!!!

Oh Pedro we are so glad you are doing well.  I'm sure you're going to have a great time on Saturday and we can't wait to see all the pictures.  I keep wishing for a Doodle Palooza too.  Mommy and Daddy did play the Lottery again tonight.  I really wish they would win big!  Gotta go, Mommy needs the computer to pay some bills, so I will talk to you later.

Big hug from Cousin Pemon, the Gentle Giant.

Uh, oh comment didn't went to never-never land....

Yes, Pedro, it was Whistler I was thinking of.  A REALLY pretty place.  You've got to get your parents to take you up there...well worth the trip.  I was there in summer and I can imagine just how much more beautiful it could be when covered in snow.  It reminds me alot of Vail, down here in Colorado...thats where I spent my honeymoon (...way back when...)

You're right, was Whistler I was thinking of...what a pretty place.  It reminded me of Vail in Colorado, back down in too far south of canada...way back when I was young and foolish and did that stuff with the skinny poles...but, boy, it was FUN !

Pedro I'm so glad you're gonna be okay! I bark too, but I usually stop when I get thirsty! Then I drink a ton! I'm glad your hips are okay so you can run and get rid of that holiday turkey and pie! Hope you get some snow to play in soon! Take care buddy!
