A Community of Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Lovers

Hello my Doodle Friends! I can see that I am not alone in my extended absence from this terrific group, and I am wondering if maybe we can all give a big breath of life back into this community. I also see several posts from new members and I feel sad that they aren't getting the warmth, friendship, and support that we all experienced not too terribly long ago.

Hoping we are not all too  busy to give it a go!!?? I'm game if you are!

A big hello from Gracie and Quinn. Hope you are enjoying summer!!

I agree we need to get back to the loving community we have always been.  We have been super busy and added one to our family. I have to say 3 doodles are a handful but a delight.  Seems that as we all age our doodles clam dow or we just all start to understand their craziness and therefore do no seek so much reassurance that we are all not crazy just blessed to have our wonderful doodles in our lives.  I am in and think we all still need to share the special times we all have daily with our pups.

Happy summer to you all... Hugs and slobbers Harrison,Brodie and Bentley..

We miss you all!  I depended so much on the wonderful people in this group when I first got my Dulcie Doodle and the help I received was invaluable.  It was such a joy to share those fun days of puppyhood with you!  I am scolding myself for not continuing to post and give encouragement to new members. My only excuse is that my mom moved to an assisted living residence near me two years ago and we have had several hospital stays and trips to the emergency room, and so on and so forth. I have never stopped checking in, though, and still enjoy your posts. Dulcie is almost 6 years old now and still a bundle of energy. We still visit nursing homes ( Trixie, our little chihuahua mix, has started visiting, too!) and recently visited the county library with a group to help children understand how they should approach dogs.  Dulcie let 35 pairs of little hands pet her and behaved perfectly! CJ, Gracie, and Quinn, thanks for encouraging us to participate again - maybe we just needed a little push! (And special hugs to our dear Grace and Pemon, who made us all feel so welcome - so glad to see you here and we will continue to pray for you as you go through rehab!

You are correct.  I'm so sorry on behalf of Pemon and myself.  But I have had a horrible battle with my health.  Have now had both legs amputated due to many disorders starting with diabetes.  I always think of my Doodle family.  I am hoping that the worse is over and Pemon and I can get back into the community. We will try our hardest.  I would like to thank the many Doodle family members that learned of my condition through Facebook.  Have received get well wishes from several people. JoAnn Gallagher, Doodle Paddy Wagon, Alessandra and Doodle Pedro, Andrea and Doodles Gracie (my Pemon's fiance) and Jorja, Laurie Young and her group and most recently Laurie and her Doodles Jackson and Delilah.  I thank everyone who have sent their best wishes.  There's Dianne Beard and Dulcie and I could go on. Again I will do my best to keep Pemon and I connected.  WELCOME TO ALL NEW MEMBERS.........

I'm not quite at that retirement age but most of my friends are retired and they are the busiest people I know!  I guess you can do more when you do different activities that you love as opposed to doing the same thing for 40 hrs a week!

I'm with you Beverly.  I thought this was a fun community but it's slowed down.  My morning routine is to check in on entertaining Doodle families after reading the, ugh, morning dreary newspaper.

It takes time .....but now every morning I wake up grateful for this time in my life! You'll get there.

Beverly and Eli, that sounds just wonderful. I'd like to say I've been enjoying retirement, and seriously--I have, but it has not been the restful relaxing enjoyment that I hope to one day achieve!

Hello! I'd like to say we've been busy but actually we just have been enjoying summer. Everyone here is fine. We spent a week at the lake last month with lots of lazy days and swimming. Hope everyone is well.
