Hello, I am new to this blog and a new/first time goldendoodle parent!  Benjiman is 5 months old and it has only been a month since I adopted him (although it feels like a lifetime). Benjiman had a ear infection, skin infection and has currently allergies. The vet suggested changing his food and cutting chicken out of his diet completely. The vet suggested I try Nature’s balances limited ingredients, however he refuses to eat it. Any suggestions for a picky puppy with allergies???????

To add to what others have said - at 5 months he is probably still teething.  Like babies, their mouth will be sore and that may cause him to avoid the hard kibble.  Possibly try adding a little water to soften it.

(Normally I'd suggest low sodium chicken stock, but not in this case!  So perhaps diluted low sodium beef broth, unless that too is off limits.)

Best wishes, he's a cutie!

What a cutie!  Allergies are always hard to deal with.   There are other brands too.  Can you give a little bit of real meat warmed up and mixed in with the dry?  Doodle are known for allergies & sensitive stomach but I hope you work it out.   I make my own treats so I know what is going into them.  Pure real foods should be safe too.

Try Royal Canin wet food, they have different types, for puppies and also for puppies with digestive problems. Royal Canin was deveoped by veternarians in Europe.  Our vet suggested this and our GoldenDoodle has been on it for years.  She had digestive issues and allergies, they've minimized!  (Warning, once pup is on wet food, it will NEVER eat dry food again)
