Tomorrow morning we will be off on a 2 week vacation. I know you all will understand the heart rending that occurs when you must leave your pup for more than a little while. Trixie stays with a friend who has other dogs to play with. She sleeps with them, gets spoiled, and is very well loved while we're gone, and still I obsess and worry about her the whole time...and THAT is loving a doodle! I am both frustrated and frightened with my Trixie's attitude and behavior recently. I think it is an adolescence thing and that she is challenging our authority (especially mine!). Prime example: this morning we took her to walk at her favorite place which is at some huge, fenced meadows. Because it is enclosed, we can let her off her leash and let her run, and often we meet other dogs with their parents there so she gets to play with them. She has a blast! I have lost Debra (and Gracie, Curly and Trixie)! I no longer see anything she is posting, and all of her comments no longer show on anything I've posted! Have I inadvertently blocked her? How do I fix it? I miss her! Help!!
I'm just wondering if anybody has any advise to help with very excited and impolite greeting of people who come to our front door (Trixie is the one who is excited and impolite...I try not to be!). We have tried to have people ignore her and withhold attention and affection until she is calm, but when 60 pounds of trouble is jumping up on you it's hard to ignore!
