I was BBQing Friday night when the neighbour (one I barely know, from across the street) came to the door to tell us that "the dogs were loose" for more than a half hour in the middle of the afternoon!!!! Well I was at work!!! Are you kidding me!?!? I couldn't even comprehend the thought. Nope. Not kidding. I guess the back door to the garage had blown open. With this cold winter the house has shifted and the door doesn't always latch properly. I always think that I double-check it just…Continue
This is my second attempt at posting my End of Summer Blog. Don't know how I do it, but everytime I spend more than 5 minutes typing I can be certain that I'll lose it at least once before I hit post. Grrrr.
It has been a while since I have officially visited this site to post pictures. Today I posted lots of pics but I also looked at the most recent ones posted by other and my comment to myself is, "Oh, I've missed so much!" I'll do some more doodle creeping once I finish…Continue
So it’s been more than a week since we brought Sweet Jorja Brown home to our house and to her older sister Gracie (1.5 yrs) and, I’ve wanted to send a report to this site after each silly thing that has happened, but...I haven’t had time! J Go figure.
Jorja is a rocket. A little live wire. A bundle of joyous fluff and vinegar!
This brown pup is saucy and energetic. She is totally self confident and has mastered all of our stairs starting on day one. She is very sure of…Continue
My blog today is my beef with people who don't pick up dog poop!
Jack and I cheat our system slightly by allowing Gracie to offleash at our local parks and schools yards, when we get the chance. We are always, without fail, sure to pick up any doo doo by Gracie. We ALSO pick up dog poop left behind by other dog owners who feel it is OK to leave piles in our kids school yards and atletic fields. Gross and unbelievable to us.
We took a walk on a…Continue
OK, I can't not blog this.
It is a comment and a question at the same time I guess. When I look at the photos over all our our beloved curly pets, I can't help but notice that the inside of our homes are often very similar. I see leather couches, beige carpet with some kind of pattern, backyards with wear spots near the water hose. Keep your eyes peeled...you'll be amazed. Could it be that the same kind of folk choose a similar type of dog?
And then there is the issue of…Continue
Well hello everyone! It's been a while since we blogged. I am older now. I turned a year old last week.
This past year my mom learned that vegetables are one of my favourite treats. I especially like brocolli stumps. She has also learned that I don't eat them with the peel on. Only peeled. Sorry mumzie, to make you do all that work. Anyway, brocolli stumps and red peppers are my favourite, but for some reason I spit out carrots. Is there anyone else out there who eats veggies?…Continue
My mom hasn't posted any new pictures of me because she's too busy looking at all the other great pictures and reading all these blogs. I played at the football field tonight with my friend Indy. Indy runs like the 'windy' and a few months ago I thought I could never beat her to the ball, but...I'm getting faster. Gonna blow her doors off next time we meet up. Look out Indy...I'm practicing!
This week I met a new golden pup called Maple. She came to play at my house and her teeth were…Continue
Hi I'm Gracie - had a great weeked! It was full of walks, ball, some rides in the Jeep, more ball, and a full Sunday spent outside in the sprinkler while mom & dad gardened. I played bobbing for treats in a big bucket, I chased the hose too. I was pretty dirty at the end of the day cause I dug holes while the folks were digging in this big square area. They pulled little weeds and I pull out all this green hair by the roots and made some tunnel things. I think one day I will…Continue
Gracie came to live at our house in December 2009. Our kids are just starting to leave home and we finally decided that now we had time to care properly for a dog. We had been running into the odd Doodle here and there and we were alway impressed with their silly fur, quirky personalities, and by the fact that the ones we had met seemed so smart and gentle. We hadn't heard a bad word and thought that this was the way to go. We weren't wrong! Gracie has been one of the best things we've done…Continue
