As many of you know, Laurie has posted receipes on her facebook page. I've used a couple and found them very good. I especially liked the Halloween sugar cookie fingers. I really wanted to try them for some friends coming over for a party. They didn't turn out great and I sought out Laurie on facebook. She gave some hints that I incorporated in my last few batches.
So, here's my tribute to Laurie, Puk, Nug and Magoo...Thanks a BUNCH...the "finger food" was a…Continue
Awhile back, someone asked for some summer reading and I suggested a Spencer Quinn book about a dog and his adventures. Well, Chet is back with a new book and I thought I'd reaffirm how great these books are. We all appreciate Pedro's romps with Alessandra...these are kinda the same, the world as viewed from a dog.
Chet is a huge, 100 pound mutt who was rescued from a pound by the police. He went through K-9 training, but flunked out on the last day. He wound…Continue
Hi everybody....someone showed me this video the other night and just had to pass it on. Hope the link works. Its really a smile in the making.
I'm not sure it will survive. Photos were taken to document the carnage (one with flash, one…Continue
NBC, CBS and Fox said they were too busy to cover this announcement, so it gets world wide attention here as an EXCLUSIVE !!! Whooo, Hoooo....
First, for the new folks to this website. I'm sure you, like all of us, have really enjoyed the photos that have been posted by all of us. Some were so cute, it put a smile on our faces. Some were absolutely stunning ! I don't know how many I have passed on to my circle of email friends...
Well, a while back,…Continue
The contest just gets better and better ! Thanks everyone for the great pictures!
I love the new drink "Mt. Doodle", and the 3 Stooges were always my favorite, but Tucker running in the snow is Currier and Ives quality !
But don't let me influence anyone !!
Someone once told me, never criticize unless you also offer a solution.
So here goes...I've been having just a BUNCH of fun with the noses in the photos. Seems there are other weird people out there, too, that like the idea of having fun. In the "Winter 2012-073" photo, I suggested we make a coffee table book of Doodle noses and Alessandra's ....err, I mean Pedro's... stories. (remember, I commented that Pedro's stories are SO good, that they should be a book.)
OK, everyone, either I'm a fraud or Ginger is hiding behind some cool outer clothing.
Remember the story...we got Ginger from the local SPCA. They said she was an Otterhound/Sheepdog mix. However, whenever we went walking, everyone commented on how nice a Labradoodle she was. Then, our groomer said she looked like a Long Hair Wheaten Terrier. After googleing everyone of those, and finding this website, I sent Ginger's pictures to Blue, and we kinda concluded that Ginger was more…Continue
I would just like to put forth my appreciation and say thank you to Blue, who started and runs this website.
I can't tell you how many hours I've spent with a smile on my face, looking at the photos, watching the videos and visiting with the blogs. A visit here truly makes my day !
I know it takes alot to keep up a website. So, THANK YOU, Blue
Sorry everybody. I wanted to put just the latest 3 pictures of Ginger on the Photo page, but somehow, it loaded ALL my pictures. NOT MY FAULT ! It's Bill Gates fault !
I'm sure that took up alot of space, and I apologize.
Have a cat loving friend, but her husband doesn't really like them. So, for her birthday, I found a "Robo-Cat" and we presented it to her at her party at our house. The cat looks quite real, but the best thing is that it has micro-motion-sensors on its body. Therefore, when anyone comes near, it meows, or it raises its foot and scratches its face. If petted on the head, it will roll backwards and purrr....
I say all this, because Ginger just LOVED this thing. She sat…Continue
Yes, I admit it. I've been seeing others. Sooner or later, the photos will show up in the National Enquirer or Star magazine at your local grocery checkout, so I might as well post them here and now so that Ginger won't get the news second hand.
I know, I'm addicted to lap-dogs. I've tried it with Ginger, and she will put up with it for a bit, but then gets antsy and wants down. The others....well, they will turn around and try to kiss me. What can I…Continue
OK, I'm really hesitant to blog this, because its so personal, but hey, what the hay !
I'm just curious on how much it costs to groom a dood around the country and with our friends up north. We just had Ginger groomed today and she really looks great. Here in Horseshoe Bay, Texas we have several choices of grooming. We can go to PetSmart, where it costs $86 US dollars and takes about 3-4 hours with the dog in a cage waiting for its turn. Or, we can hire one of maybe 3-4 "mobile"…Continue
