Love This Brush!!

I just have to share my love of this new brush by ConairPro. I ordered this "Soft Slicker Brush" in the medium size, mostly to bump up the total purchase of a recent Drs. Foster and Smith order so that I could get free shipping, and it turned out to be the best item in the order! I do my own grooming and I have to say, it is not my favorite job. If I would find the time to groom every day, the task would be easier, but the reality is that no matter how much I vow to be more diligent, I can't…

Why do dog's do this?! ughhh

7:30 am: Prince Axel was given his usual breakfast in his every day spot. Same bowls. He ate a few bites and what does he do?! He head butts his food bowl 6 times, looks ate me like "what are you looking at mommy". Guess what's next? He decided his water bowl was next!!!!!! Looks at me again and walks away like nothing happened, ughhh!

Really testing my patience today. I've never seen him do this but does not mean he has never done this behind my back. Food and water was every where.…

Our Bella

Bella is our first golden doodle (f1b) and she just turned 10 months on December 17th. We couldn't of asked for a more loving dog and she so smart! I have never had to groom a dog before and I love her hair long and shaggy and she really never shed but a little while brushing her until around 9 months when I noticed more hair coming out and she started to matt a lot more! Just wondering if anyone else had this problem around this age with their golden doodle. I brushed her twice a day and…

Bailey the Burgling Baby

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone! Long time no update and I am so SORRY. Things have been a little hectic over here at the Bailey Elsa residence. So I have quite an update for y'all. Hold on to your dog leashes because we've got a lot to discuss!

So Bailey is 6 months now. She's growing up so fast *sobs in the corner*. Kidding, it's actually a blast that she's older now! She's much more mature and a better listener. But (there's always a but), Bailey still is only a puppy…

Last week Mark was in the shed putting Laundry in the dryer.  Pemon always goes with him no matter where he goes.  Well Mark was in there a couple  of minutes and when he came out, Pemon was sitting outside foaming from the mouth.  We knew immediately he had to have come in contact with a frog.  So Mark washed his mouth out real good and thank heavens, no other problem and we didn't have to take him to the Vet.  But it is scary.   You just sit and wait and see if they are going to get any…

Food Choices

Hello friends!!

Merry Christmas :))
Hope you all had a wonderful holiday!

You all have been SO HELPFUL to my husband and I as we learn the ropes of being a doodle parent :))

I have to ask, what brand of dog food, or what should we look for in the dog food we feed Roosevelt?

How much do you feed him? We had been following the bag for age and weight- but feel he is too skinny??

Anyone own or know of F2B goldendoodle that shed bad?

My 18 month old English Goldendoodle sheds like his retriever side. Barely mats and matting is usually on legs only. He has curly hair around the neck ans the rest is wavy. His hair is 3 inches right now. Starting to think he takes after his english retriever side more than his poodle despite him supposedly being more poodle.

You brush up against him and you'll have hair stuck to you, hair is all over my car and tumbleweeds floating in my house. But when you brush him, you…

My apologies to my Doodle family!  It's my fault, not Pemon's that we have been absent.  We were getting ready for Christmas, buying and wrapping gifts and our annual Holiday Party, which was combined with Mark's 62 Birthday (Officially on the 23rd) and his semi-retirement (will collect Social Security, but work some too.)  Our party was last Saturday night and we have about 30 people (7 Children)  It was the best party yet, so I've been told.  We gave each child a gift and small stocking…

Hello and Happy Holidays

We have been absent lately but glad to be here today to see all of the lovely doods and new members. Buddy has been busy since he was certified as a TDI therapy dog. He also participates in Agility and Obedience classes once a week, though I have no intention of competing at this time. I have been busy also with church and garden club projects as well as doing a cable tv show on gardening and cooking every two weeks (usually with Buddy's "help"). I can't believe how fast the time goes by.…

Heart Worm Pills

Hi all :))

I was wondering what brand of Heart Worm pills you give your doodle? I was told the pills are less expensive at Wal-Mart...

Puppy exercise

Well, Bella came home Saturday.  She is doing great and adjusting well.  She slept in her crate last night the whole night, no accidents!  Only barked twice and went to sleep.  Very happy with that.  Potty training is going pretty good.  yesterday we had just one accident in the house, but I missed it - was cooking dinner and didin't watch closely enough.  My question - I read and learned not to take her to dog parks, Petco, etc until vaccinated.  So we go potty either in front yard or…

honey loves everyone !

hi,' im a new girl', i have a gorgeous blonde 7 month golden doodle , who has attended training classes twice weekly for 4 months, she can carry out all the usual tasks, when it suits her, her biggest problem is that she adores people other dogs , everyone of them that she encounters on her walks gets jumped all over unless i manage to wrestle her to the floor which is tricky for an 'older lady ! i have tried all the most delicious treats to divert her to no avail.

can anyone please…

Potty Training Question

Okay, so maybe I just don't remember well from the last time I had a puppy, but it seems as if Bo is taking a lot longer to completely house train than I remember.  He started out doing pretty well ringing the bell to go out but now he won't do that anymore.  We will go a few days accident free and then have a few very puddly days.  Sometimes I think its a seperation thing, as I will usually find a puddle after I have been downstairs to do laundry.  I take him out before i go downstairs and…

Ignite Hope

Tonight our family all walked to Ignite Hope for Phoenix Children's Hospital. Brodie and I met a lot of little children many had been in the hospital for cancer treatment. We walked 1.8 miles with the family who were carrying lite candles. We arrived in the parking lot of the hospital and looked up to see hundreds of kids who are in the hospital looking down on us and waving their candles. It was so awesome. What a special night. Mom dad and all the other family members were crying. So…
