Just a quick note to wish you ALL a very Happy New Year! I personally have NEVER been happier to see a year end! 2013 has been horrendous for me and my family! I'm hoping for a much nicer 2014.
So as the celebrations begin, I raise my glass to wish you ALL a peaceful, content, and very happy 2014!

Tomorrow morning we will be off on a 2 week vacation. I know you all will understand the heart rending that occurs when you must leave your pup for more than a little while. Trixie stays with a friend who has other dogs to play with. She sleeps with them, gets spoiled, and is very well loved while we're gone, and still I obsess and worry about her the whole time...and THAT is loving a doodle! I will be able to check in on the site only infrequently while we're gone, and will miss you all…

Hi folks, 2013 has been a nightmare year for me.
My personal life fell apart and my health went to the dogs (was comatose and in hospital for a month - quite a few of my medical colleagues did not think I would leave the hospital upright) - so to speak. I was left alone, except for some very close friends that stood by me.
I've lived with dogs for a long time. Starting large with Rotties, a Newfoundland Landseer type, then, when I had to travel a lot, downsized to Miniature…

Gizmo received a HUGE Ram's Horn for Christmas. I thought it would be very hard, and that he wouldn't be able to chew it very fast. WRONG! In less than 5 min he had the end all chewed off in little pieces which were splintering. Needless to say, we had to take it away. Poor Gizzy!
So today, Gizmo and I went to Pet Supplies Plus to return it and get another antler. We had given Mojo an antler and they both like them. Gizmo hadn't been in a store since he was about 6…

Hi all,
How have you all survived Christmas? How was the weather where you are?
Down here, in The Netherlands, Christmas this year wasn't white, but wet and windy.
Temperatures were too high for the time of year, but the (hard) wind was cold, so it
sorta evened out.
We had a nice, relaxed, Christmas. Over here it's 2 days: December 25th and 26th.
We exchanged (modest) gifts, watched the Pope give his Urbi et Orbi blessing and
listened to the new King give…

I have been busy taking a class with my mom to train for the CGC certificate which is our first step towards becoming a therapy dog team. Since the test is not for a while, we will continue working during the winter months to improve our team bond by taking an agility class that starts in January. My friend, a Jack Russell is going to be taking it also and I am sure Gilligan…

Patience, patience patience that's all that I have to say. We left today for lunch around 2 hours. When we returned Lilly decided she wanted to learn how to use the GPS that was wrapped underneath the tree for Robert. Thank goodness she only chewed the box, of course not leaving the instructions. Robert is livid I don't blame him at this point I should not be having this issue anymore. I really don't want to crate her but I am running out of options. She suffers terribly from separation…

I can't believe it has been so long since I have posted.....We have been traveling and busy I guess. I've been keeping up reading everyone's posts (excuse me Jackson is telling me he needs to go out!) I have a question for all my doodle friends......Who has a relatively "non messy" beard cleaning routine and what do you use for shampoo? I have noticed very white doodle beards out there....Jackson's can get a little smelly from eating and constantly drinking!!!! Any suggestions would be…
