We just put down a deposit for a goldendoodle this summer. I have 3 children. They will turn 9, 6 and 3 this summer. Is there a better sex to get with children?

My goldendoodle Soba is15 months old, and we have kept her in the "lamb/puppy" cut, short, same length. Her coat is getting longer and I am brushing her every day with a slicker brush. She is still getting mats, is there another brush I should get? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

OK, I can't not blog this.
It is a comment and a question at the same time I guess. When I look at the photos over all our our beloved curly pets, I can't help but notice that the inside of our homes are often very similar. I see leather couches, beige carpet with some kind of pattern, backyards with wear spots near the water hose. Keep your eyes peeled...you'll be amazed. Could it be that the same kind of folk choose a similar type of dog?
And then there is the issue of… Continue

i am reaching out in hopes of someone helping me. a few months back we lost our dog of 13 years to cancer. I have 6 daughters who were all very devasted as I. My 13 year old is asking for another puppy to fill that void she has. our dog was very attached to her as she was with him. but here is the problem I realize how expensive the golden doodles are and I am willing to spend at 500. I know that is truly not enough for the breed but I truly do not have much more then… Continue

Our 5 yr old doodle Maggie is eating garbage, counter cruising and most confusing, is chewing/eating my daughter's underwear and pants! (yes, teenagers, dirty clothes on floor). While we are all trying to keep items off the floors/counters...Maggie still finds any opportunity to scarf down what she can! We think she is a GOAT..anyone else have this experience with their adult Doodle?

We are considering purchasing a golden doodle puppy from Barleycroft Kennels in Oxford, PA. Has anyone purchased a puppy from this breeder? Any reference would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much. Dahna Gayle.

Vito is extremely well behaved and listens very well with one small exception. He keeps getting into the garbage cans in the bedrooms and bathrooms... he loves tissues and paper towels, etc. We replaced all the cans with ones that have lids. The first day he got one of the lids stuck on his head (I posted a pic of this), and that seemed to be the end of it until this morning when I came downstairs to find the lid carefully removed and placed on the floor and the contents all over the living… Continue

Since we're new here, I thought I'd give a little background on Vito and his adoption. We lost two of our three dogs inside of a matter of weeks. One went in for some dental work and was found to have severe bone cancer, and the other, my 11 year old Great Dane, had become totally incontinent and was having severe arthritic issues. As you can imagine, our household was depressed and somber, and our little poodle, Jasper was especially upset. I found Vito online through a rescue group. They… Continue
