How big is your 'mini' goldendoodle??

Long time no update! Albi is 6 months old now. I posted some new pictures of him yesterday. He just gets cuter and cuter.

I had him fixed on September 16 and he is perfectly healed now. The day of his surgery he was 14 pounds, but I think he may have even gained a pound since then.

If at 6 months albi is about 15 pounds, how big do you think he'll get once he is full grown? He still seems like such a little guy to me, he only reaches my knee when he stands on his back legs!…

Golden doodle Coat and the upside down V. Is it a myth or real and does she have it?

Hi, I'm so glad to find this group. We have 2 nine year old golden doodles that we absolutely ADORE! I have added pictures from young to 9. One from a breeder and one is a rescue from someone who gave him up because she didn't like his looks. Not doodle enough for her. Today he is PRECIOUS and has a beard, even though it is different that the typical.

It was my idea to get a puppy now because they are such a delight in our lives and have the energy to help train a new…

Car Sickness

Does anyone have experience with dogs who get car sick? When I was exhibiting Labradors, I would drive to shows from Connecticut to North Carolina, and never did I have a dog who got car sick. Oddly enough, both Token and Remme get sick. They don't get fed for several hours prior to travel, and still, they puke. I tried over the counter dramamine (at the recommendation of my vet), and because it causes drowsiness, I lowered the dosage, and it didn't work. Short of using a prescription med, I…

Antler Chews and Teeth Fractures

I may have shared this once before, but am not positive. This article was in "Doodle News" earlier this year. Some of you may remember that we learned the hard/expensive way--Gracie broke off a molar while chewing on an antler. If you haven't seen this article, you may enjoy the read and the education :)…

Still being Shaggy...

It's been awhile since I have posted - so I thought I would just check in for those who have followed my Shaggy drama.  Some big news - I took Shaggy to get him neutered.  He was attracting allot of attention and broke a window to get out of the house.  Thank God he didn't get cut or hurt himself!  I didn't realize that when female dogs go in heat he would go crazy.  Anyway - I found him roaming the country side with 3 female stray dogs - I immediately took him to get snipped.  But - the…

Chew Treats Help

I'm wondering what you all give your doodles for chew treats?  Emmy needs something to gnaw on, but I of course want it to be safe.  Those Nylon bones do no good; plus most of them are chicken flavored and Emmy can't have that (allergic).  If anyone could recommend something with a turkey flavor that would be awesome! PS-Emmy is 7 months old now and officially weighs 32 pounds. :-D
