The first pic is Quinn on Aug. 2, the day he was brought into the shelter. The second pic is Oct. 31, three months and 20 pounds later…

Need help

Hi everyone,

My name is Daniel. 2 days ago I bought a 10 week old female f1b goldendoodle puppy from a woman on Craigslist. In her ad she mentioned that she couldn't keep the puppy due to unforeseen circumstances and claims that her husband bought it from a couple in Michigan. So I meet up with her in Logan, OH. She was supposed to bring the vet records but claims she forgot them. I gave her the money and went home with the puppy. Once I got home I noticed the puppy had a flea…

Adventure time

Guess what? Dad brought the RV tonight. You know what that means?? Adventure time. We are heading out on Friday for a quick weekend get away. Mom and dad are not big halloween fans cause we all bark everyone the door bell rings. So we will be up in the mountains. The forecast calls for rain for tomorrow and Friday, hopefully not Saturday. Since we are so big now there is not much room in the RV for everyone to be cooped up. Mom will post some pictures when we get home.. We are sooooooo…

It's a Doodle!!

Well the DNA results are in and Quinn is a Doodle!! He is first generation Irish Wolfhound/Standard Poodle. I had thought poodle from the beginning, but wasn't really expecting it to be pure on both sides. We're not sure how Gracie feels about there officially being another doodle in the house. She said she needs to sleep on it.

Stitches are out and his eyes look great. We're not done yet though, because now he has a bacterial infection in his ears. So we have a couple of weeks of…

Lions, and Tigers, and Doodles--OH MY!

This is the costume contest photo I referred to in a previous post. It's from a couple of years ago when a dog park/club we belonged to had a Halloween puppy party. It was great fun!

Quinn's DNA

DNA results on Quinn have been returned to the vet! She will give them to us when we go in for removal of stitches on Tuesday. Partly excited and partly wishing I never did the test. Thinking it may say Gracie has a Pomeranian/Pug as a brother or some such thing!

P.S. For those of you who saw it, I deleted the Halloween Photo contest post. I checked out the top 200 out of over 800 entries so far and there was no Gracie :p - Also, they want an email address for voting and I don't…

I read that there might be a chance that Goldendoodles will end out shedding. Can this be right? If yes, is there any way to see this with a very young puppy?

The Cone -- The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly

I like bad news first . . . so, The Ugly: Quinn's cone neatly removed the small wooden ladder of "special memory" knick knacks from the wall. I now have an earless and footless rabbit, a buttless West Highland Terrier,  and a headless flamingo--whose head has yet to be found :( The Bad: Since Quinn's peripheral vision is limited to begin with, he now misjudges the distance between his cone and just about everything, which causes frequent disruption in his…

Quinn Surgery

Quinn is getting his entropion surgery tomorrow. Today was a particularly bad eye day. Lots of rubbing and pawing; rinse and eye gel didn't seem to help much, so it's good we are getting it taken care of, but I am nervous. . . . sigh.

Hey ya'll.  Glad to see a lot of my Doodle Family Is still here and you are probably wondering where Pemon and I went.

Don't know if I told you that Memorial Day weekend I went into a severe diabetic coma with my sugar dropping below 15.  The paramedics said thank heavens Mark called 911 when he did.  I was almost a goner.  Spent about 3 days in the hospital with that…

searching for all info on Goldendoodles.

We are thinking of adding to our family. I have been researching dog breeds and Goldendoodles keep making their way up to the top of my list.

We have two little boys, 3 & almost 2. We would love to get a puppy and work with a trainer.

My first experience with reaching out to a breeder wasn't great. We exchanged 3 emails each, me mainly about visiting to see her parent dogs, describing our family, asking about the wait list, picking out the dog, etc.. I was told In an… Continue

Yeast Ear Infection

What a hard thing to treat... Brodie has had an yeast ear infection in his right ear for over 2 months. We thought we had it all cleared up, but it came right back. The original meds that the vet gave us was the strongest prescription they had. We finally went to a compound pet pharmacy and had to have special ear drops made. This concoction takes 4 hours to make. We have been using it for almost a week and it seems to be clearing up the ear. No more black discharge and no more smell. 3 more…

Quinn Update

Hello there doodle friends! I've been absent for a couple of weeks, but wanted to share the latest on our Mighty Quinn. Had our ophthalmologist appointment just this past Monday and yes, Quinn has entropion of both lower lids. We got an estimate of $3,300. which I definitely was not expecting. Made some phone calls and we are now looking at $900 - $1,200 which is much closer to what I was expecting. The first facility/surgeon was fantastic, but they are very close to NYC, which probably…
