Another grooming question, sort of.

I know this may be a simple question but I want to do the right thing. I am taking Izzy to be groomed at PetSmart and was wondering if it is appropriate to tip the groomer?

Thanks!

I have noticed that along the top of my puppy's back he is loosing his hair...it is noticeably thinner than the rest of his body. He is 12 weeks old.  Any ideas?

Xylitol

Something to add to the "do not feed" list!   I just found out about xylitol being toxic to dogs.  It's a sweetener used in candies, gum & toothpaste mostly but it can be in some peanut butter brands.

OUCH!

Today me and Chessie were playing and playing. We like the stairs and we were hopping on and off the last step and just wrestling and jumping. THEN....I got my back leg stuck between the posts in the stairway railing! I whimpered, then I CRIED! Mommy was in another room and heard me right away and came to fix it. My leg was twisted but she had no way to get me unstuck but to ease my foot through. OUCH. Daddy was 5 feet away and he didn't hear me! Geesh! Anyway I'm fine and didn't get hurt.…

Puppy Coat

When can I expect my puppy to loose his "puppy coat"?  My little man is 11 weeks old and I am noticing that his fur is thinning on his back.  Also...when should i begin to brush him?

looking for a doodle that needs to be re-homed

Hi all -

My name is Julie and I live outside Boston. A few months ago I lost my 13 1/2 yr old Golden. She was my fifth, so you can see that I love the breed! After ten months of caring for an aging 62 lb pup whose demise started with a brain bleed in June '14, I've decided that my next dog needs to be either a smaller Goldendoodle or Labradoodle ( somewhere between 25 - 40 lbs), and rather than getting a puppy I want to give a loving home to a young ( 1 - 2 yr old) who needs to be…

Help selecting a Goldendoodle - We live in North Carolina

We are searching for a goldendoodle to add to our family and I was hoping you could provide some recommendations of what are good breeders and how to select the personality of our next puppy. I've started reaching out to breeders and I'm not sure if I found the right one yet. Its seems like the first question the Goldendoodle breeders ask me is "what color are you looking for?". My goals when trying to find a new puppy are: 1. is he/she healthy - have the parents been checked?. 2. Does the…

Vaccination Input

Hello.  My little Emma has just turned 8 weeks today and she is up to date on her shots.  I pulled a vaccination schedule from online and it seems that there are so many more vaccinations than there were years ago.  Has everyone had all the recommended vacs. on their Doodle or are there ones I should be on the lookout to avoid?  While I of course want Emma to be healthy, I don't want to over vaccinate her in fear of allergy issues.

Thanks!

Getting excited!

Our mini goldendoodle is joining our family in 9 days!  Does anyone have any recommendations for puppy food?  I am looking for as "natural" and "additive free as possible.

So confused please help

Hi, I'm new to this doodle blog, but am hoping I can get a little help.

I've always wanted a goldendoodle. I've been doing some research on them and realized I know nothing about this type of dog and I thought I did!!

I've found a breeder online who is close to where I live. This breeder has goldendoodle's for sale ranging from $1,200 for the f1 and $900 for the f2.

I believe the goldendoodle that the majority of people have is the f1, correct?

It's difficult to find… Continue
