A Community of Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Lovers
Good Evening everyone,
I haven't posted in awhile but I am back I finally decided to take the bullet and buy a trimmer after adding up what I have spent on grooming my Hercules since Feb. the trimmer was nothing granted there was a few extra shapings for shows (my daughter is showing him for 4-H) but still. Anyway wondering if anyone has any do's and don'ts for trimming.
One other question does anyone have any problem with their doodle being a scardy cat. It was…

Hello Friends, this is Pedro writing... well, dictating to Mommy so she can write for me and I can share with you our adventures and the great time we had when we went on our vacation to a place called Pender Harbour in the Sunshine Coast of B.C. For starters, we borrowed Uncle Mateo's (Granpa & Grandma's) van so we could load up all my toys and my blanket and my towels and my treats and my food... oh yes, and Mommy and Daddy's stuff too! Then we headed to the ferry boat! We even went…

A couple of years a go Phoenix started picking up discarded coffee cup. A few months later he added cigarettes to his collecting. If he sees them he insists on picking them up. Sometimes he has 3 coffee cups and 2 packs of cigs. in his mouth. It;s very funny. Do any of your doodles collect odd things?

Pedro really wants to tell you all about his vacation and his adventures, but this time I want to let you know that although he is being his normal self and eating well, playing, barking, jumping up and down and doesn't seem to have any symptoms of anything, we found a growth on top of his head and I took him to the vet today. They took some samples which are off to the lab and we hope to get results by Tuesday at the latest. According to the Vet, it could be something simple that will go…

Has anyone heard of the Thunder Shirt for dogs? It's suppose to relieve anxiety and control them better. My husband saw it on T.V. www.getthundershirt.com.
Would love to know if anyone has had any experience. I'm thinking we might try it. Only for the walking part. Pemon doesn't like the vacuum, but he deals with it. Thunder does not bother him either.

Wanted older goldendoodle to make our family complete. Our 13 year old cairn misses her brother. Retired couple with fenced in yard and lots of love to give.

We are a San Diego, CA family of 3, looking for a male English F2 or F2B Golden Doodle puppy (2 out of the 3 of us have allergies) -We would like the breeder to be close enough that we can drive to pick up our newest member.
We had a Golden Retriever for 14 years, and he has since gone to be with Jesus (3 years ago) Now, we are ready for a new adventure ...to add to our family. We LOVE Golden Retrievers, however with the allergies - we need to go hypoallergenic - and we…

This is my second attempt at posting my End of Summer Blog. Don't know how I do it, but everytime I spend more than 5 minutes typing I can be certain that I'll lose it at least once before I hit post. Grrrr.
It has been a while since I have officially visited this site to post pictures. Today I posted lots of pics but I also looked at the most recent ones posted by other and my comment to myself is, "Oh, I've missed so much!" I'll do some more doodle creeping once I finish…

even the best trained dog needs to have boundaries reinforced occasionally. Izzi (still a growing puppy) is now large enough and heavy enough to pull me off balance.. The 'gentle collars' are great at 3 months but not at 6 months. Izzi wares a chain link now. But I need to stress the correct use of any type of collar. If the dog is continually pulling you are not in control regardless of type. The actions to be used is correction, relax the leash, second correction, relax the leash.…

Millie was 6 months old on Thursday and poor pooch got spayed on Thursday (I felt so awful getting it done to her) but suppose it was necessary. She is recovering well. The training has finished now - still not the perfect pooch but getting there. She is scared of traffic and jumps at cars as they pass - was told my reaction to this may not be helping as I am "up tight" when cars pass . I have to keep such a tight hold of her leash as she is getting really strong and if I was not…

O.K. Everyone - New Contest. Who won last month? Bruce, you'll never guess - yup! There's one for you! I'm wondering if this contest is not fixed as there always seems to be one for Bruce every month lately.
Pat Kirkland - love your entry. I'm telling you she has short legs and a long body. Love it!
