Hello Doodle Family,
It's me, Pedro and I wanted to tell you what I did last weekend.
Turns out that on Sunday Mommy and Daddy were going to travel for 6 hours to go my cousin Kazia's wedding and so they would not be back on time to cuddle with me so they decideds to stay there for the night and then come back home on Monday.
So my Uncle Jer came to stay with me. Mommy said that Uncle Jer came to stay with me to look after me because I'm her baby, but Daddy and I knew…Continue
First day back to school. My husband is working the late shift, and so we had to leave Quinn and Gracie for only 2.5 hours, which is still more than double any of my practice runs. Was a little nervous about what I might find, but he was GREAT! He was sooooo excited to see me return. I couldn't calm him down and had to get him out of the house before he knocked something over! I have to give Gracie a huge amount of credit throughout this process. I know she has been confused and even a…Continue
I wanted to introduce myself, I'm Amber from Central PA. I'm in the National guard. I've been a dog lover my whole life and Bria is my first goldendoodle. I have an ongoing passion for tricks and training dogs. Every time I train, I learn something new. I'm hoping to become a professional dog trainer and possibly some day a small hobby breeder with positive health/coat/temperament/improvement/socialization in mind. I'm already in love with the uniqueness of this breed and I can't wait to see…Continue
A recent news article highlighted the danger of a toy that amounts to a ball with a single hole. In the most recent incident, a dog was euthanized after its tongue was destroyed by the suction caused by the toy (reported to be by Kong). This is certainly not the first time a single hole in a hard rubber toy has caused serious injury.
The problem is that the toy has only one hole, and because of this, the dog's tongue is at risk when the suction of the toy's only hole "grabs"…Continue
I went to clean Quinn's eyes this morning, and got it into my head that his lower lids were rolled in. Called the vet, they had an opening within the hour, zipped over there...and I was wrong. Worth the visit though as the vet was able to do a pupil check and both pupils are reactive. I'm hoping that's good news in regard to the ONH and the amount of vision he will have in the future. Also got a prescription medicated shampoo and a suggestion to give him Benadryl for his eyes. It's very…Continue
Quinn had his eye exam with Dr. Aguirre today. The environment was a bit chaotic and I didn't get to ask many questions, but the bottom…Continue
My double doodle, Bishop, is 8 months old and his coat has changed a lot since he was born. He's gone from black to silver. I've read that doodles go through a coat change at around 8-10 months. Is this true of all doodles? Should I expect that his coat will change more?
Mommy and Daddy are back from the West and we are home. Me and Chesney had a wonderful time at Mike's camp for dogs! When Mommy was in Utah she met two doodles. They were traveling with their Daddy and he said their Mommy is on a goldendoodle blog. Her name is Sarah and they are from Arizona. Not sure which blog they post on but if you're out there Sarah, your doodles are beautiful and sweet!
Whether he's always been this way or it's the product of always being hungry, without a doubt, Quinn is always on the prowl for food. His chin rests at the height of the counter and right from the start, he was walking/sniffing the length of the counter. We immediately modified our food storage. No more baskets of bread and goodies on the counter. Now on day two, he has figured out how to open the kibble container, and just a bit ago, he stood behind me as I cleaned out the frig for garbage…Continue
