Dear Aunt Dee, Indie & Milo:
I would like to thank you all so much for my beautiful new bandana. Since Mommy doesn't have a sewing machine she could make me one and I felt left out. It was so nice of you to make me one and mail all the way from the United Kingdom. Mommy took a couple of pictures for you to see how nice it looks.

I have been gone from here way too long ~ Lets see ; Grace got to my computer cord ! That sort of hindered me ; ya think ? LOL
Then .... well a looong story short ~ my body has been causing me grief and I have not even wanted to get on line ... such a poor excuse I know ! I really thought about you every day ... and wished you could have been here to see her (grow!!!)
I am so sorry for not responding to messages ~ and even now it is so late and I need sleep for church tomorrow…Continue
Many things keeping me away from all you good buddies here...so busy in all areas of my home and law office life. It certainly is "Paddyful."Today is Paddy Waggin's 3 week anniversary. Yes, he moved in 3 weeks ago today and all in all has been a pretty good boy. Well, he does get into some puppy mischief, but then, he is a puppy!! He will be 11 wks. old on Monday. As I think I mentioned before (or was that on Facebook?), I am finding it very hard to get a good photo of my very black dog.…Continue
Interesting that other dogs/people have this problem. Molly is also a jumper but only with people she knows and she does not jump up with my 7 year old grandson, she simply seems to know not to!
And of course, we thought it was 'cute' when she first started doing it and never discouraged her.
We really haven't found it to be serious problem but we do watch her very closely when we go out or people come to our door - we do warn them that she is a jumper.
Funny - now she…Continue
Finn has all of a sudden started jumping up on people. He never did that before and I am finding it getting out of control! Took him into Pet Smart the other day and he wants to greet everyone with his hands on their shoulders - not everyone liked that idea! I've told him down and then turned my back on him but when I turn back around, we are eye to eye again lol! I've read where you should step gently on their back feet but I didn't really feel good about that, and then someone told me…Continue
Hope some can help me here. I was cleaning Molson's ears as he had started to shake his head a bit yesterday. My previous dog was a Shar-Pei and they typically get really bad yeast infections in the ear canal. They do not grow hair but have a lot of twisted tissue that causes moisture to stay in the ear.
When I investigated Molson's ear I noticed the hair. I had previously been pulling it out but didn't realize how deep it went. So last night after a bit of a struggle I managed to get…Continue
Thank You to everyone who has welcomed me to this site. It's new to me, so until I figure it out, my apologies if I didn't respond to you. This seems like a great community - and Thank You Jo for inviting me.
Brandi is a 15 week Goldendoodle. Until a few weeks ago, I thought I was alone with her rambunctious behavior. I am hoping to read many of your posts to help me ease understanding Brandi.
Brandi is sweet and beautiful. She is also dominant,…Continue
Today was the GROOMING DAY - a day I've been waiting for. It has been about 8-9 weeks since his last groom and we were Waaaaaaay overdue!!!!
We dropped Gizmo off and our groomer, Jessi, said it would be a few hours-usually meaning about 2 - 2 1/2 hours. We did some errands and the day passed very quickly. Before we knew it, it was 4:00. "Jessi should be calling soon" I thought. Four o'clock turned into 4:15. We decided to grab a bite to eat at Wendy's near the…Continue
Eli is scheduled for his first trim next week! The groomer said she does 2-3 doodles a week so I'm hoping it goes well. She also said I could stay with him if I wanted to since he was so young.
Has anyone out there in Doodleland used this product?? I'm going crazy with Jackson's almost once weekly losing his breakfast/dinner (usually somewhere inbetween!) He does not appear ill in any way before or after and there is no rank smell. It just appears to be partially digested food. In fact if I don't get there fast enough he would take care of clean up for me!! :( If anyone has run into this problem and is willing to share I really would appreciate it!! I've tried most of the…Continue
Eli is fine, no fever, no parasites in stool sample, everything is normal. He will be on the rice/beef diet for a week along with medication. Just needs to work itself out of his system. He weighs 45 pounds!
Well Eli had me up last night after midnight so we are headed to the vet this morning. In spite of his improvement the problems are back and I don't want to wait any longer. Poor little fellow.
Well with the back garden tidied up I thought I'd sort out the front. I don't allow the dogs in the front garden because they either bark at people or Indie will jump the fence to go & say 'Hello', so I left them behind the side gate. Thirty minutes later I'd done my quick tidy up & upon going through the gate was greeted by my lawn sporting quite a few bits of pink rubber & foam on it.
Hmm, what it could be? Yes, it was the sole of my slipper, no wonder Indie had been so…Continue
Well, if Eli is sick he isn't acting like it. Wolfing down rice and ground beef (with a little pumpkin), running around and wrestling with Chesney. No diarrhea but no poop at all in 24 hours. So when can I expect the first good poop? It's always something.
Happy Sunday to all my doodle buddies out there, Jackson here. One of my bestest friends in the whole world is not a doodle, but a bagel. Like Uncle Mateo, Pedro, she can be some grumpy some time. But I still loves her. My auntie Donna says shes forgot how to play at age 8, is that old? I still think I'll plays at 8. But mommy mades her a bandanna too, even one with firecrackers on it for when the big booms happen. Her mommy took a couple of pictures of her stylin' with her scarves,…Continue
It's been so long I forgot what I was even doing! I have absolutely no excuse except I have been so darn busy with this property, my fossil and rock collecting, and all sorts of other things, that the computer and corresponding have been at the bottom of my list. AND I HAVE MISSED YOIU GUYS, TOO!!!!
Sunny is as sassy as ever and still just too cute for words. He is 9 months old now but I haven't been taking pictures. I had him clipped about 4 months ago, and I asked that his…
We had a lovely walk today & I found this wonderful furry thing on the ground, it was floppy just like my cuddly toys at home. I really wanted to carry it around with me & it was a perfect fit, the head & legs hung out perfectly either side of my mouth.
For some reason Mummy started shouting "leave" & waving biscuits at me, she looked so scary that I left fluffy thing & went to her, she gave me a treat & told me not to look around but I did & saw mummy's…Continue
Okay so I went to the local store/gas station (they have everything) and found canned pumpkin, of course, it's New England. So I have given Eli a tablespoon since he's not really a small dog but not yet a big dog. Keeping my fingers crossed.
