Before I got Molly, my now 10-week old goldendoodle, I was told that this was a very intelligent hybrid breed. I believe it. She has learned several tricks, all of which she picked up in the same day we introduced them to her. We placed poochie bells on the door for her to learn to "tell" us when she needs to go out. It seems like she figured this out right away. She lets us know when she needs to go potty, but she has also learned that ringing them gets her outside, and ringing the bells…Continue
I never thought I could love a dog as much as my late Minature Pinscher Sam. I will not give up on Charlie. I was in a car accident last year. I have problems with my balance. This Doodle was locked in a basement and not paid attention to at all. When we take walks, If I lose my balance he braces me. How does this dog know? Charlie will do it before I do. Charlie needs me and I need him. I loves Doodles and Bostons of course. We can never leave out our little Daphney…Continue

He was allowed to go bathroom twice a day. Charlie is a large male Gooldendoodle. He weighs 70 lbs. Our famliy vet prescribed Charlie puppy Prozac for is excess pacing for hours if he is not in his new lagre crate at night!!!! We do walk three to four times a…Continue
I have a 4 month old petite goldendoodle who I've had for a month now. He has been displaying the following behaviour - barking in the crate at night (had been crate trained for a month with the breeder), going pee and poo in the crate, following my every step, barking when I leave for work in the morning, breaking out of the kitchen (he has the run of it during the day due to the crate problems) and house soiling (he will break past the gate at the bottom of the stairs to…Continue

Gracie came to live at our house in December 2009. Our kids are just starting to leave home and we finally decided that now we had time to care properly for a dog. We had been running into the odd Doodle here and there and we were alway impressed with their silly fur, quirky personalities, and by the fact that the ones we had met seemed so smart and gentle. We hadn't heard a bad word and thought that this was the way to go. We weren't wrong! Gracie has been one of the best things we've done…Continue
We lost our husky/lab mix back in December and we finally talked the hubby into getting a Goldendoodle. We named him Chase...he is just a lover. I kept in touch with the breeder to let her know how Chase was doing. She had told me she had one more male dog left and would just give him to us. Crazy us - went and got the brother for Chase. We named him Chance.
They sure keep us busy! They like to chew on everything.
We are still having problems with them peeing…Continue

Has anyone ever had their dog throw up while they were in the teething stage?
Clover is eating less, very tired, threw up early yesterday morning and wont come up the stairs right now....we aren't sure what is wrong with her. Is it possible that its a symptom of teething?
My best friend who lives in Scottsdale, AZ recently lost her beloved Golden Retriever who they loved for 9 years. They are heartbroken and are looking for a goldendoodle to love. They have an adult autistic son who is the most gentle and loving young man - he misses their dog terribly. My friend is a craft designer, who works from home and would be available 24/7 to care for this special dog. As well, her son loves to go for walks with their first dog. If you…Continue

Any recommendations for a goldendoodle breeder??
Hi - it was a complicated post title because this seems to be a multi-faceted problem, lol! (Oh if only I felt like laughing about this!)
Here is the background. I got Coby at 12 weeks, crate trained from the breeder. The first few nights with me he freaked out in the crate and had numerous accidents (poo and pee) and barked all night long (I was getting up to let him out throughout the night, so he wasn't barking because he had to go to the bathroom, he was just frantic to…Continue
Zoe the Goldendoodle and owner Judy Stranczek won 1st place in the OB Novice "A" competition in Oklahoma City on both days with scores of 190 and 190½ - the first year that hybrids were welcome to enter the competition. It was a combined group with both purebreds and mixed breed dogs. Zoe was bred by Timshell Farm.
Congratulations on a job well done!!!…Continue
Have any of your mini goldendoodles experienced growing pains? Molly has had lameness after running really hard and playing for about 5 months. Today when she gets up from laying down she wimpers. She sits up first and then starts to hobble. I took her to the vet 2 months ago and they did complete xrays and nothing showed. I read about this online, but wish there was more I could do.
On a happier note our training is going well. Molly was at the dog park for the first time…Continue
