Full grown weight of your Doodle

My Charlie went to the vet on Tuesday and weighed 55 pounds and is only 6 months old. Vet says he is very healthy and a good weight. He expects him to weight 80+ pounds full grown. What are the weights of your full grown Doodles, just curious.

I've Been Unfaithful

Yes, I admit it.  I've been seeing others.  Sooner or later, the photos will show up in the National Enquirer or Star magazine at your local grocery checkout, so I might as well post them here and now so that Ginger won't get the news second hand.

I know, I'm addicted to lap-dogs.  I've tried it with Ginger, and she will put up with it for a bit, but then gets antsy and wants down.  The others....well, they will turn around and try to kiss me.  What can I…

Got another Question Doodle Lovers!

Does your Dood Smile.

I just noticed today that Puk smiles. He smiles at people when he comes to work with me. I thought it was the cutest thing ever and also kind of creepy.

I have seen Jack Russels do this but not many other breeds.

Let me know if your Dood smiles. And what makes them smile.

Professional obedience training

We will definitely start training our puppy as soon as he's home.  APRIL 19th!! woo-hoo!

Anyway,  we want to be sure he is given every chance to be the best boy he can be.

I've seen it mentioned over and over on the forum how important obedience training can be.

But what is the best age to utilize a training school?

Very excited to have a blog - woof!

Hi, I'm Pedro and this is my blog that I have asked my Mommy to type for me because I can't type on her computer with my paws. Someone should make computers for puppies I think because we have lots to say, lots of friends to chat and share stuff with and we are already so smart about a gazillion other things that I think it would just be the right thing to have our own P.C.s (Pup Computers). What do you think? maybe they exist already, but if they did I think my Mommy would know about them…

Ear Care

Well, I dont even have my Puppy 3 days I will!

I have been reading alot about ear infections...How they can get them easily & once they do its hard to keep them away...?

Do you all have tips on how to care for their ears...As a Puppy too....What should I be doing?

Is there a Ear cleaner out there that you prefer?

At what age might they start growing hair inside their ears?

That sounds painful to pluck the hairs out…

Dog Poop Rant

My blog today is my beef with people who don't pick up dog poop!

Jack and I cheat our system slightly by allowing Gracie to offleash at our local parks and schools yards, when we get the chance.  We are always, without fail, sure to pick up any doo doo by Gracie.  We ALSO pick up dog poop left behind by other dog owners who feel it is OK to leave piles in our kids school yards and atletic fields.  Gross and unbelievable to us.

We took a walk on a…

Ok all you Doodle Lovers

I want to take a survey based on a conversation that myself and one of my Doodle Lovin Buddies had.

How many of you have crazy Nicknames for your Doods.

I want to see if this is a common trend with all of us or if some of us just have a few screws loose.

I will fess up and give you my nick names for my guys.

Nug=Snuggie Bug, Sponge Bob Happy Pants.

Puk=Beelzebub, or Baby B, or Mr. Wiggles Worth

The earthquake of Japan was very fearful.
Such a fearful occurrence is the first.
There is still aftershock.
We are OK.
A telephone does not lead.
The highway is closed.
A dog and a human being are healthy.

Doodles as guard dogs???

We're just wondering if the brilliant, beautiful and enticing Dood's are known for being an alarm, barking and scaring the intruder when it's necessary??  We would love to get twin baby boys for our 62ft sailboat and live aboard with us while traveling extensively.  We would want to think that they would protect us from possible intruders coming onto our boat.  Please advise if you have any experience with Dood's on boats or if you have seen your Dood react to possible trouble from a stranger… Continue

Help, I have a Doodle/Bichon

I just got a new puppy that is a Miniature Doodle/Bichon mix.  I have questions about behavior.  Does anyone out there have any answers?  One of my concerns is she keeps acting like she trying to dig in blankets and/or couch.  She's been with me a week, and this just started suddenly.
