Looking for a good brush

Can I get some ideas on a good brush to use on Frankie?  She likes being brushed we just need a good brush that will help to keep her from getting matted between groomings.

Teddy Bear Doodle puppy coat

Thanks for accepting Piper and I as members.
Can anyone give me any information on puppy coats. Piper is a 4 month old male F1 Teddy Bear. His coat is very fine, sticks out, soft and wispy on his sides. Down the middle of his back his coat is more corse and wavey. The difference between the two coats forms a noticeable line.
My question: is this normal?
Hoping it changes over the next few months. He looks a little rough.

Grooming disaster and SUCCESS!

So, after the groomer shaved Cooper so severely that he was miserable(itching) -  my husband & I decided that we would give it a try ourselves. Turns out, Cooper was awesome! We felt SO bad for our boy when we picked him up - I almost cried. The groomer said he was matted - which I dispute because I was meticulous when I brushed him, always making sure I could get to skin. I think, since it was her last appointment before Christmas Eve, that she just wanted to get out early. Sorry, but…

Quinn the Therapy Dog!!

He did it! Quinn passed his Therapy Dog certification test! I am so proud of him :) It was quite a busy environment--about a dozen dogs and twice as many people. The testing took about 2 hours, and he was an amazingly (and surprisingly!) good boy! So now I have to get the paperwork signed by the vet and get registered and we'll hit the road! I'm looking forward to going back…

Questions answered..

Thanks to everyone who made comments concerning my question.  I am buying one from a reputable breeder.  She has been breeding doodles and Havenese since 2000.  I was just looking for more infor and you had anwsered the same as she has done.  Thx again.  I will send a pic as soon as I get my doodle.  This is an excellent place for information.  It reminds me of the BML that I still belong to.  People here are really friendly.  Thanks again.

Hello To All

My husband and I are seniors and are wondering if a golden Doodle would be the best breed for us. We are looking for a laid back medium sized dog that is non-shedding  and is easily trained.  We have had Boxers for 35 years and would like to switch to a more mild breed of dog as I walk with a cane.

is this breed  prone to have skin allergies?  Would appreciate any help you might give us.

Thanks for listening

Val & Dale…

HI everyone, is anyone have a problem with their dog being on the food contain chicken? I was told that goldendools as they are mixed with poodles have sometimes reaction on chicken, etching. Make their skin dry. I am looking for a good advice for food as well! So no grain, or corn is the target and is it good to mx it up sometimes fish and turkey, pork? I was recommend it to try My Healthy Pet, fish mix.

Wishing everyone a Happy New Year. It's been a while since I've visited with everyone in this community, busy and my computer died in early December. I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday season and lots of great plans for 2017.

Shaggy's first crawfish sighting!

Shaggy is barking at the craw fish from the safety of his sand hill. He eventually inched his way closer but that craw daddy just showed his claws and Shaggy just ran around in circles LOL.
