I just wanted to add that after looking at many of the pictures, I have to say Doodles are the happiest dogs I have ever seen. Each one of them is so cute and all appear to have a zest for life. In my life. I have had a Lab, a pair of Gorden Setters and a few other mixes that have showed up on my front porch. They were all good dogs, but the Doodle personality is a winner!

I don't know about your doodle, but mine has the most ridiculously thick coat. It can only be maintained for a few months and then it only takes a day for matts to start that a matt buster can't get through. I end up having to shear him like a sheep every spring. Even the end of his tail which was left alone for a year and a half finally had to be cut short. Clippers get jammed if they aren't set to super short. Long tine poodle brushes & combs work for a while then almost can't get near… Continue

Zeke turned 1 on New Year's Eve and every day to him is a celebration! He is probably the sweetest, smartest dog I have ever owned, but his hair is driving me crazy. He constantly has big knots and major tangles even though he is brushed daily. Any suggestions?

Not even 72 hours in and she's ignoring the DOG except to jump out at him and slap him or play bite him. His fierce growls don't even phase her anymore. She's stolen his bully stick. She didn't even FLINCH at the hoover. We're trying to work on potty training. She does wee everytime we go out, she's poohed outside TWICE, so guess how much I've cleaned up inside. Plus extra puddles of course. She steals socks. chewed on my desk, chased one of the cats, chewed up paper, chewed on shoes, is play… Continue

Now what do I do??? My husband came back early from a business trip and brought with him a LABRADOODLE. I'm on a waiting list for a GOLDENDOODLE and I wanted a MALE. He brought home a FEMALE> Yes she's sweet. I know nothing about her parentage other than mom is a Chocolate Lab and dad is a Silver Standard Poodle. She's going to the vet this week for a check up. But what do I do with a Labradoodle? Now I have MORE research to do. The house isn't puppy proof. This is Madness!

I just thought I'd introduce myself and say hello. As of yet I don't have a Golden Doodle, although I do have a schnoodle. My Dood is quietly cooking and the oven timer should go off in about 2 or three weeks.
I have been on the Golden Retriever forum for about a month as I was "in the market" for a pure bred. But I kept hearing the term Goldendoodle, and looked them up, laughed, did some research, talked to a breeder and now I'm in "mommy waitng" mode and waiting for my surrogate to… Continue

Hi I need some assistance here,
where do you guys buy your metal crates or those baby doors? I know if I need to buy a brand new one i see online it can be a 150 dollar + for the large dog metal crates. so far, on craiglist there are only small crates available . I still have a few more months, but i thought i should do some research on the places to look for .

I saw a goldendoodle today and fell in love. I need info on good breeders. Also, I would appreciate anyone telling me their experience on shedding. The 3 month olds I was looking at today shed pretty much. Does this end as they get older. I appreciate any info. I know they would be a great dog. I had a poodle and love goldens.

Chipper joined his family the day after Christmas, 2009. We drove to Port Huron, Michigan to pick him up. He whined most of the way home but Liz, Kyle and I took turns holding him which seemed to help. As soon as we got home we let him into the back yard for a potty break. Chipper was so happy to see another little dog waiting for him! Our year and half year old Shih Tzu, Daisy, was a little confused by the intrusion of another four legged creature joining our pack but I could tell right away… Continue
