Hi to all the Goldendoodle mommy's and daddy's!! I had my hip surgery (second, first last August) at the end of February and have recovered wonderfully. Sorry I haven't been on much...I have been living life to the fullest now!! No pain, means more places to go and people to see. This is not without my trusty Doodles by my side however!!! Delilah and I have been busy. On April 15th we participated in a NACSW (National Association of Canine Scent Work) Odor Recognition Trial....and she…Continue

Hey everyone, I came home from the rehab center on March 31, 2017. I'm feeling better then I have in a long, long time.
Last week was exciting. A Prosthetic Company was here. I need to be standing on my right leg before I can get a prosthetic. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.
Mark is pretty stressed, having to run the business full time and then things at home. We did get a cleaning lady to come in two times a week. I try to cook whenever I can. Being in the…Continue
Oh wow it has been awhile since we have been on the site. Mom and dad have been super busy. So much going on. So our aunt Amy who got married in October is going to have a baby. I think we are excited, just not sure because we have never been around a baby. Mom said it is a boy like Brodie and I, that is good we can share toys? We have some sad news. Our sister Sandi is now in dog heaven. It was such a hard day for mom and dad. Sandi had been with mom for 17 years. She was blind in one eye…Continue
Hello, I am a proud owner of a standard goldendoodle named Colt. He is 6 years old and his a big boy (125) working on losing weight after grandma fattened him up lol. I have a question for everyone. For the past year and half Colt has been getting these sores all over his back and belly. They look like scabs about the size of a penny to a quarter. I have taken him to a vet twice and he puts him on antibiotics which start to clear them up but they come right back. I believe he might be…Continue
Blue, our family needs to send you a huge thank you as you introduced us to Lovina's farm back in 2001, and it was there that we got our beautiful golden doodle puppy, Pepper. She was born December 25, 2001 and is over 15 years old. She is a gorgeous black doodle with fur as soft as a lamb and she is the gentlest and sweetest soul on the planet. She still prances when she walks (although her back legs have started to give her trouble), and people can't believe it when we tell them she's…Continue
Once again, I've been gone from here for too long. I need to do some catching up, but I wanted to take a quick minute to share an upcoming event that we are attending. It's called Doodles in Dewey. It's an annual event held at Dewey Beach, Delaware. Hundreds of doodles and their humans attend. We have been wanting to go for several years, and now that we are retired, we can!! Anyone else live close enough??

My mini golden doodle Rey is going to be 4 months old on the 28th of March. Her weight is 11.4 lbs. Vet said I can start to cut out the lunch time meal.
Question for those of you with mini's and have cut to 2 meals a day. How much do you feed your dog now that you cut out the mid day meal? Have you stayed the same portions? I give her puppy single serve wet food with 1/4 cup of dry. Didn't know if that should increase. I'll call my vet tomorrow and ask, but I was…Continue
Have to take Cooper to the vet - his right eye has a white discharge. He was taking sticks out of the pile as my husband was trimming bushes, so he may have poked himself...it doesn't seem to bother him too much. ugh. :-( I've just been wiping around the eye with warm water...
Life is good - I feel much bedder, and this mornin', the snows were finally here! I tried and tried to get sissy Trixie to snow zoom, but she just dint want nothin' to do with it.
So I didded it by myself and it was so fun!
Mom says her flowers dint like it,…Continue
We just took Cooper on an 8 hour trip down to Ohio to visit our son and our two granddogs. Cooper was great during the long ride, unfortunately, during our stay, he continued to "hump" the younger dog (Both are neutered). He did this when they visited us, as well. We just can't break him of that. Any suggestions?
My sweet Dulcie is at the vet's with some kind of stomach blockage. Please send thoughts, prayers, whatever you can muster or prefer, for my baby!…Continue
Earlier this month, Evanger's and Nutripack dog foods recalled certain "beef" products due to contamination with pentobarbital (a lethal poison used to euthanize animals not meant for consumption). Here's the latest info -
