Shout Out to Blue Sterling - Pepper

Blue, our family needs to send you a huge thank you as you introduced us to Lovina's farm back in 2001, and it was there that we got our beautiful golden doodle puppy, Pepper.  She was born December 25, 2001 and is over 15 years old. She is a gorgeous black doodle with fur as soft as a lamb and she is the gentlest and sweetest soul on the planet.  She still prances when she walks (although her back legs have started to give her trouble), and people can't believe it when we tell them she's…

Doodles in Dewey!

Hi Everyone,

Once again, I've been gone from here for too long. I need to do some catching up, but I wanted to take a quick minute to share an upcoming event that we are attending. It's called Doodles in Dewey. It's an annual event held at Dewey Beach, Delaware. Hundreds of doodles and their humans attend. We have been wanting to go for several years, and now that we are retired, we can!! Anyone else live close enough??

MINI GOLDEN DOODLE FEEDING> VET SAID OK TO CUT OUT MID DAY FEEDING.

HI ALL.

My mini golden doodle Rey is going to be 4 months old on the 28th of March.  Her weight is 11.4 lbs.  Vet said I can start to cut out the lunch time meal.

Question for those of you with mini's and have cut to 2 meals a day. How much do you feed your dog now that you cut out the mid day meal? Have you stayed the same portions? I give her puppy single serve wet food with 1/4 cup of dry.  Didn't know if that should increase. I'll call my vet tomorrow and ask, but I was…

Vet visit...

Have to take Cooper to the vet - his right eye has a white discharge. He was taking sticks out of the pile as my husband was trimming bushes, so he may have poked himself...it doesn't seem to bother him too much. ugh. :-( I've just been wiping around the eye with warm water...

Important question

My 12 week old puppy goes potty in the back yard. After he's finished I use the "jet" setting in my garden hose to desintegrate the feces into the ground. Would this practice be detrimental, neutral or beneficial to the soil?
Thank you
Silvia

Long road trip success

We just took Cooper on an 8 hour trip down to Ohio to visit our son and our two granddogs. Cooper was great during the long ride, unfortunately, during our stay, he continued to "hump" the younger dog (Both are neutered). He did this when they visited us, as well. We just can't break him of that. Any suggestions?

We' ll enough on that subject. Dad says he is proud of her and she is a strong woman. We are going to try to get caught up but wanted… Continue

Sasha is active.

This dog has so much love to share, she has picked up the happiness factor in the whole house. Even disabled w/ a condition where it rains everyday...,you better learn to dance in the rain and Sasha helps me do that more. My whole family said it's been the best thing and I want to do the best I can w/ her and got a discount for her training which is a blessing. Im trying to do her right.

I think Sasha is champagne, Can anyone chime in on her color? she has white tipped feet & tail.… Continue

Evanger's & Nutripack dog food recalls

Earlier this month, Evanger's and Nutripack dog foods recalled certain "beef" products due to contamination with pentobarbital (a lethal poison used to euthanize animals not meant for consumption).  Here's the latest info -

Another day, another hip

So, it's been awhile my friends.  I've been watching and reading, but not participating as much as I would like.  Last August, after a lot of thought, I had a total right hip replacement.  Now, in two weeks, I am having my other hip done, and can not wait!!!!!  This will make me able to pursue the fun things I like to do with Jackson and Delilah with far less pain!!!!  Update on the Doodles....they are being doodlely for sure.  Right before my last surgery Delilah passed her Canine Good…

New puppy

Advice please.

Pepe is 7 weeks old and he arrived in my home 2 days ago. He is just adorable.

Potty training not going well. We stand together at "the spot" 15-20 minutes after he ate and drank, for maybe 10-15 minutes but he does nothing.

I say : go potty and just looks at me. After 10-15 minutes we come in and he "makes" in the house. Not immediately though.I know it's too early, and this is the way it goes in the beginning but perhaps someone can offer a different… Continue

**ADVICE NEEDED**

Hi Everyone!  It has been a while since I've logged on this site, I've been slacking!  Life gets so busy. :(

Anyway - I'm here needing advice/help.  As you all know, our sweet Emmy girl (who will be turning one on February 28) battles sensitive tummy issues from time to time.  We switched her dry dog food (per the vet) right before Thanksgiving.  She's on the Hills Science Diet - Sensitive Skin & Tummies (the flavor is chicken).  Up until Monday, she has been loving it.  Monday…

Looking for a good brush

Can I get some ideas on a good brush to use on Frankie?  She likes being brushed we just need a good brush that will help to keep her from getting matted between groomings.

Thanks
