My golden-doodle Milo just turned 8 yesterday June 15th. In my opinion a very healthy dog. Last week for the first time I switched dog treats to (Blue dog bakery treats) simply because I wanted to try something new. Twenty minutes later he had a seizure that lasted for a full minute. My son called a friend, which happens to be a Vet. she said it might be the natural peanut butter that is part of the ingredients. I won't know for sure until the test result come back. Has anyone experienced…

Puppy Love

I was hoping to get a goldendoodle puppy that has been raised so to speak.  I hear puppy culture is a good program if you can find a breeder that uses it.  I found and want to know if its a good program that is implemented.

Farewell Ning... Hello FB!

I joined this community 8 years ago. At the time, it was just our amazingly brilliant and beautiful and loving girl, Gracie, in our family. AussieDoodle, Gracie, is blessedly still with us. A couple years in, our half-Irish Wolfhound rescue, Quinn, joined us, took hold of my heart, and then all too soon left us, leaving a permanent rip in my heart. Just last year, our now 18-mos. old Irish Wolfhound, Hazel (the hurricane), joined us and is taking us on the wild wolfhound puppy ride!

Does anyone have picture "This is your doodle on drugs"?

10 years ago I remember seeing a couple of pictures that were a play on the ad campaign "this is your brain on drugs" showing a couple of sizzling eggs in that anti-drug campaign.  One picture was captioned "This is your Doodle" with a nice photo of a lovely, engaging doodle, and the adjacent picture, captioned "This is your Doodle on drugs", showing a doodle galloping, ears flying, tongue flapping way out of his mouth, and eyes wide with frenzy.  The pic was probably captured as he was…

Breeder Referral

Hi Doodle Lovers!  I am looking for feedback.  After losing our sweet doodle “Buddy” after 12 years, we are finally ready to open our home and hearts to another.  We have already decided on a pup from “Best Doodle Puppy’s” in Indianapolis.  We have had some good communication with them via phone and good response to our requests for photos.  Their web site is professional and the testimonies are very good.  We’re just looking for a little verification.  When we found our Buddy over twelve…

first 8 week doodle questions

Hi all,

This is my first post and doodle. I have a couple questions/need some help from experts which is why I'm here.

Ruby is a cute phantom doodle whose always hungry. She's eating 1/2 cup purina puppy food twice a day and still looks for food in her feeding corner. I don't leave the food or water dishes out all day but she knows where they go. Can I give her more?

Ruby doesn't have a problem in the crate, naps during the day or at night. At night she whines for potty…

Snarfing the bully stick

My Doodle, Clark, is a soon-to-be year old Doodle. He is a voracious chewer and recent inhaler of all things chewable. I started him on "Bully Sticks" about 4 months ago and they were the miracle that I had been looking for. However, lately he chews on the stick for about 10 minutes and then sucks the whole thing down his throat. I have had to resort to not giving them to him. Does anyone have any recommendations on something else he can chew on that will give him longterm satisfaction…

PUPPY training attention Karla

My suggestion: find someone who a few free minutes... walk to her or him no closer then 5 foot. tell her stay, an stop... she is not going to listen because she doesn't know the command. Both you and friend stay there. Move her back to your left foot, again and again, calmly do not yell at her. When she calms down,, lots and lots of praise. when she goes crazy again. Bring her back to your right foot... Take your time. she is learning three commands: the walk at your left foot, stay, and not…

Too excited!!

Hello Fellow Doodle Lovers,

I have a wonderful 9 month old female F1B.  She is well behaved and womderful except... she gets far too excited when encountering new people.  We are getting her jumping under control, but does anyone have any tips for this?  Is it just to get her to sit when told no matter what the situation is?

Thanks for any pointers :)

Thank you

Thank you for the add to the community.  Jolene is my 10 1/2 month old baby girl. She is my first golden doodle. I have been totally amazed at her behavior and personality. She is wonderful! Smart, funny, laid back, but still very playful, loving and very talkative. She doesn't bark much but she does love to talk. I can't believe at quickly she learned commands and potty training. I love her so much. …

Looking for guidance

I lost the love of my life, my 14 year old goldendoodle Easton.

Best dog I have ever owned. Would only have goldendoodles from this point on.

When the grief subsides,  I will find myself in the market for another one.

Female, first generation but not white as I could not bear to have the same color again.

Out of respect and guilt I suppose, I thought a different color would be a good way to differentiate as I am not replacing, I am moving forward.

Coat type

Hello. I just got my new baby. He’s almost 9 weeks old. Can anyone predict his coat type. Top of his head and body are thick and wavy but muzzle is short and straight. Wasn’t sure if he would grow longer hair around his nose as he ages. Was hoping for a wavy haired and not so much a flat coat. Anyone have a similar pup grown up would love to see…

Nose Work anyone?

Just wanting to share the fun we are having with a new game... Nose Work! Wolfhound, Hazel, was our motivation. She is a very fearful girl and along with all the things we have been doing to socialize her, it was suggested that we try nose work, so we did, and of course what one does, we all do! So Dwayne is handling Gracie and I am handling Hazel and we are all having a great time. After years of agility and obedience training, it took Gracie a bit to realize that we weren't going to be…

15 years young and losing hair????

cheyenne is 15  wow!.

He is on two pain medications for disk problems plus Levothyroxine 0.7mg.

took him to new groomer and she shaved him and how his hair has thinned out on his back  and is not growing.  I'm wondering if it is from being shaved or.the Levothyroxine 0.7mg.  He has been also losing weight.  Eats well, poops and pees just fine but I do believe he has a hearing problem now and is not seeing well either.  He no longer jumps up if I  ask him if…
