  1. I am interested in getting a puppy; are you the breeder?

Reading the link I sent you, I remember that we used a spray water bottle on our puppy too....they don't like being sprayed...especially with the stream.  If she nips or is chewing something she shouldn't have....give her a little squirt.  LOL   Mine used to stop as soon as I took the bottle out and put it on the counter.

I just found this on line too; maybe it can help:

Just copy the above 'address' and paste it into your browser.

Always issues with nipping and biting.....puppies will always do this....we say "leave it" very stern and put a toy in her mouth......then pet her.  They are little devils aren't they?  The nipping and biting is just them teething.....lots of chew toys will help.  But, putting a toy in their mouth when playing with the pup helps.  I always tell the kids to have a chew toy handy when playing, so that they can be ready when she tries to nip.    This can go on for up to four months or older.....but being consistent will nip it in the bud...."no pun intended".  LOL

Ho, I glad that my Ginger was fully trained when we got her.  But even now, when we are gone for a bit, we get the jumping, grabbing with the teeth, and excitement of seeing us again.

You'll have your hands full with a puppy...hard to train them not to get excited.  Just remember, biting for them is like petting for us.  (opposible thumbs and all that...)  Get her into obedience or Good Citizen Dog training as soon as you can.  It will certainly help.

Little trick I leaned way back when with my first dog.  When they bite, grab their nose and hold on.  They don't like that and will soon relate biting with a nose squeeze.  Not hard enough to hurt them, of course, but enough to be uncomfortable for a bit.  I know its hard to do, but for me it worked to stop the biting.

Hi Sharee...welcome to the website.

Looks like you have a great one there.  All our best for a wonderful relationship.

I've always said about my Ginger: "Ginger has never met a person she doesn't like" (with all due respects to Will Rogers...)  Doods make great elder care visitors just because they like EVERYbody...

I LOVE THIS LITTLE BUNDLE OF ENERGY-I am going to (at a later time of course) take her to care facilities/elder group homes so she can make people 'SMILE'-my reason for getting HOPE!
