rawhide - loose stools ??????

Posted on December 26, 2011 at 12:39am 4 Comments

i just learned that raw hide is responsible for my dogs loose stools. is this correct. i've been changing their food because i thought it didn't agree with them. and i just gave my doodles big rawhide candy canes for christmas. is it just certain raw hides or are some better than others. and what can i give them to counteract the loose stools after they have already eaten them.

Hey Phyllis. I do remember meeting you at Petsmart. I'm glad you contacted me because I am terrible at names. Your pictures are just beautiful! What is this pretty girl's name? (I'm guessing she is a girl....she looks like a girl. If she is not, sorry about that.) I have met several people who have doods. Wouldn't it be fun if we could get together with our dogs! I'm sure we would have lots of dood stories. Let me know how school goes. Jasper graduate, but we were afraid he would have to go to summer school (ha).

Hi Phyllis, that is funny about the toy, obviously a doodle favorite. Yes you will want to keep up with the training and not let those cute little puppy eyes give in. I think the hardest thing is the greeting when the little sweety wants to jump up on you and ofcourse when they are litttle and cute it doesn't seem so bad but as they get older and bigger it is not so cute! I know this from experience because we are still trying to quit the greeting jumping. It is getting better but I wish I would have been more consistent from the start. Other things that I was consistent with she is always obedient. Keep up the good work and be consistent. She is so adorable and doodles are so smart she will do great!
